FWIW, on my Vudu 24 says "Coming Soon" on the main slide show, but when I click on it, all 6 days/episodes are individually available. I think its a bug on the menu system.

I have entered the bug for this on Bugzilla

    also:

A suggested improvement: On 1st set up, at least provide users the *option* to increase the database upload/update priority... for those of us that don't necessarily want to watch right away, but would prefer to dedicate the bandwidth to obtaining the most current database catalog and 'headers'. (I decided to buy Vudu based on the availability of HD versions of Bourne.)

Maybe I can borrow a different router from a friend and see if that works. I don't want to buy one cuz I might switch to Fios. Merry Christmas. I'll be back sometime. Thanks
No worries jclem. Let us know if you'd like any more assistance later on!

Remember, you have a combined modem and router. You won't be able to just buy a new router. You will need to get both, a modem without a router, and a router without a modem.

I think you want to "enable" as many things as possible. If you can figure out how to enable remote access to the router configuration, I'd be happy to try to log into it and figure it out for you. Sounds like the default config is clamped down way tight. Set a temporary admin password for the router. Then send me a PM with the password and your IP and when I can mess with it. Then I'll try to get in there and see if I can open things up a little.

If you don't want to do that, then that's fine, but I thought I'd offer.

    Hi Joe,

No luck... seems the box still isn't well connected.
You indicate more options than I find in the manual - maybe I'm not pulling the right manual, or not everything is documented .

One thing we can try is to use "Port triggering". See page 37 in your manual. You'd want to set the following fields:
    Application: VUDU
Start Port: 8100 (for both triggered and forwarded range)
End Port: 8199 (for both triggered and forwarded range)
    Protocol: UDP

Then click "Enable", and "Save settings".

    Also:
Make sure there are no restrictions set (that you don't want) under the Access Restriction tab.
And under the "Security" tab, "Firewall", make sure the following isn't selected (only disable these temporarily while we troubleshoot):
    - Firewall protection
    - Block fragmented IP packets
    - Portscan alert
    - Block WAN requests
    Remember to "Save settings".

If all of this doesn't work out for you I'm afraid I'll have to suggest going with different router/modem combo. - There's a few people here who will be happy to suggest some models (and some third party firmwares).

Let's see how this goes first! Good luck.

There are a few common causes for this:
    1) router settings that will be a tad too restrictive
    or
    2) router firmware not allowing enough connections

For #1, you could look into the configuration tabs in your router's firmware app. I downloaded the manual from the Linksys website, and it looks like you could start by temporarily disabling the "protection" features in the "Security" tab.
For #2, you could make sure that you are running the latest firmware (get it from the linksys website).

I'd try #2 first as it doesn't require you to "lower your shield".

OK thanks, I'll start off with #2

You should be able to buy your own cable modem from the store and a router to go with it. Most cable companies let you purchase your own hardware...

If it's the former, could you post the make/model for each of them? If it's the latter, it may be difficult to replace it (as it may be ISP specific). I wanted to check the status of your box right now but it appears it got disconnected a little while back.
