    Vudu not playing HD movies

    I downloaded all three Bourne Identity HD movies two days ago, two were bonus and the third I paid for. After waiting 24 I checked to see if they were available. When I noticed the can watch disappeared for the bourne ultimatum had disappeared the next day I decided to watch it last night. However, when I hit play it only plays for like 1 sec then stops. I decided to try the other movies two bourne HD movies, and I get the same thing, hit play...plays for a sec then stops. Even if I try fast forwaring to a point further in the movie, same thing.

    Thinking maybe it just had not finished downloading completely, I waited another 24 hours, but still the same thing. Any help would be appreciated.

    Odd. If the first two Bourne movies show up as playable it means they are on your drive period. It's not a case of having to manually download those two.

    I would call customer support at this point. This should not happen.

      Very odd...Support had me reboot it and it appears to be working now. While I'm happy that its working again, they still might want to check to see if that is a bug in their system or not.

        You can also try to reboot your box. There is a known bug in the current software that causes HD playback to hang. Only a reboot fixes that problem.

          OK. This must be the same bug that users see where the sound goes away and the movies stutters. As VolkerS said earlier today, it will be fixed in version 1.2.

            We tried to rent a movie tonight around 8pm or so (was trying to show off the box to my sister-in-law who is in town), and were unable to complete the transaction...it would stop after selecting "Rent for $3.99" and say "Unable to complete transaction, please call 1-888-554-VUDU"

            I called into customer service # and they said there were problems with the service, and to try again in 20-30 minutes. Also said we wouldn't be able to rent any other movies until they resolved the issue. We just decided to pass on the movie.

            Not sure if that was affecting your rental - but hopefully the problem is fixed and won't happen again (especially on weekend nights).

              Mine was actually the opposite...I would see action on the screen for about 1 sec, then hear audio for about 5-10 secs...while the screen was frozen. Kinda weird.

                There definitely was a problem. I called in and was told I was second in line to talk to someone. While I was holding I decided to try the rental again and it went through!

                    Yes, this is the same issue (just a slightly different timing) and should be fixed in 1.2.
