Now Available on Vudu (Catalog Titles) Section of Vudu.com

I really wish that Vudu would have a section or category to search on their website for new catalog titles that have become available to purchase and/or rent. Right now, there is a NEW TO OWN section, but that is only New Releases. I wish they had a NEW TO OWN for catalog titles as well, or older movies.

I just noticed that a bunch of titles are now available (or will be in June), and I wish there was some way to see what new catalog titles Vudu has added. (The Saint, Gremlins, 25th Hour, etc)

I'm confident if Vudu actually advertised new catalog titles that have become available to purchase, Vudu would sell way more copies of said titles. As is now, the only way to really find them (that I have found) is to search for said titles by name.

It would be a really neat feature, and I think many fellow Vudu users would agree.

I agree! There are lots of older titles I'd purchase if they were available.

Vudu used to have a section called New Title Releases or something like that where you could see new movies being added almost daily. I found a few titles that way until they removed it. I complained and begged until I figured it was pointless. It seems Vudu really doesn't care if you buy a movie from them or not. It's the craziest business model I have ever seen. Throw new titles out there and don't advertise or communicate with potential customers...make titles available for D2D and hope that somebody finds them because we don't have time to worry about communicating with the customers who keep us in business! Of course we do find new titles because there are many of us that perform a ridiculous number of searches almost daily to see if anything on our wishlist has been added.

Anyway, I have posted many times in this forum and entered more than one case asking them to add the New Title Releases back and they finally came back and said that the page no longer exists. DUH! That is what I was telling them...it no longer exists and we would like to have it back. A better question is why the heck was it deleted?

        Hi Luz,

Thank you for that information. Yeah, I can't believe they wouldn't want to advertise that. Makes no sense to me. Hopefully they bring it back someday. It sure would make some of our lives (and ultimately, their sales) much easier!

          I've done the same thing.

They still have a Pre-order section that used to contain catalog titles but they did away with all of them. Now it's only for films currently in theaters.

Hell, I'd be happy with a weekly email list with updates of what in newly available. I just don't understand why there is so much lack of information coming from Vudu in so many areas. I would just be happy with some acknowledgement that our complaints are being heard and that they are making plans to improve the service.

This is all mind-boggling to me. Why don't they want to add features that would sell more movies? How hard can it be? Heck, I would volunteer to do this for them if I could. It's just crazy!!
