    One file, all devices

One of the original promises of UV was the CFF, which would, in theory, allow people to store copies of movies on a single device and transfer them to other devices freely (provided said device was linked to an account with a valid license). Since that is all but dead, it would be nice if VUDU provided this functionality.

Right now, downloads are tied to a single device. It would be great if I could download a movie to a separate device (PC, NAS, etc.) and just access those movies with all of my registered devices. I could then either stream the movie from that storage, or download it to my device without having to download it again from VUDU. This is how iTunes works, but the fact it's restricted to only PCs and Apple products is a non-starter for me as we are a household with a diverse mix of devices.

The promise of CFF was a primary reason why I redeemed every UV code and converted as many titles as possible. All providers however seem hell-bent on using proprietary formats and players, so even when you can download, it's not transferable across devices nor can you just use a single player of your choice for your whole library. Vudu2Go (and others) as a proprietary player would be less annoying if you could at least control storage location(s) and link into it from a proper UI and remotely control playback.
