    Disc-to-Digital movie list issues

I was trying to add all my movies to my Movie List, so I could then figure out later which ones I actually wanted to pay to authorize, and I'm having a lot of trouble distinguishing between versions.

    I tried searching:

Hmm, let's get a bit more specific:

Still duplicates, and nothing to distinguish them. OK, let's go back to the first list, and click on "14 results found", see if that gets me a better list:

Well that's....interesting....two entries with exactly the same information. I have the Extended version, so is that even in here?

tl;dr version: The different movie versions really need to be very specifically identified.

Before you make too long a list they only allow you to print the fist 25 movies of your list you than have to delete the first 25 movies before you can print the next 25.

      Thanks Max,

I'll send this to the proper people.

Well, I'm not sure why I wouldn't add all the movies I have. If I can only print 25 at a time, I can still print 25, delete them, and then the next 25 are all ready to be printed. I wish there was a way to import from a text list, but I'm going to put in most of the DVDs I have. That way it will be easier later on to choose which I want to have added to my Vudu account.

It is nice that you can add a movie, then later change the quality you want or remove it. I'm using this more like a wishlist, to keep track of the ones that I could transfer if I wanted to do so.

Wow, it's not limited to 25 movies, it's limited to $100? WTH? What if I want to convert more than that?

More importantly, I prepared a list to print just to see what it looked like, and some of the movies were listed as pan-and-scan, some were labeled as 2-disc sets...what the heck is up with that? I know I don't own any P&S movies. We need to be able to see all those details when looking up the movies, but I couldn't see them until I tried to print it.

I could be wrong but I think Vudu only carries one version of the movie in hd so you would get the same regardless of whether you chose p&s or regular.

Probably, but then why all the different versions, as shown earlier? The associate trying to do Disc-to-Digital in the store might notice the difference and refuse to license a movie. As it is, we can't tell which version we are adding to our Movie List until we print it.

It looks like someone really needs to do some database cleaning.

They occasionally carry more than one version of some movies. Spider-Man and X-Men Origins: Wolverine each have two. Usually one is the theatrical version and another a Directors/Extended Cut version.

Maybe be neither are pan & scan. Why would anyone do that anymore? Nobody is watching HDX on a 4:3 screen.

Would be nice if you could put in the UPC. That is what the Walmart guy did when my list didn't match the movies I brought. I printed off a few different lists and started over and I didn't realize they looked up the list and tried to match it.

Using the UPC is an absolutely excellent idea! Hello, VUDU! Pay attention, please

We'll have this corrected a little bit later today. You'll have the ability to print more than 25. Sorry for any inconvenience that this may have caused.

okay, starting today, vudu seems to be having account issues....
the walmart rep checked his account and it was fine, it seems though, that some of the accounts that already have items saved or listed on the flash list for you to print has the list blank and an error comes up as soon as you log in to add movies.

                            Snapshot of Error:

Anyone else having this problem? judging from the error's content, it leads me to beleave that this is a vudu website/account problem that not only affects the "print list" but also the ability to convert movies.
It also seems that it doesn't matter what browser you use, i tried chrome, IE, firefox, and safari(i know safari isn't officially supported anymore anyway but thought i'd give it a shot.).

Max, I'm new to D2D so I can upgrade a movie I had converted as SD to HDX at a later date? Also, I was under the impression that the Walmart certification process requires the VUDU "My Movie List" queue so the clerk doesn't have to key in anything but the confirmation code. Deleting that list after your print it off would mess up the Walmart certification process wouldn't it? Also, I take only about 10-15 movies at a time to Walmart for certification because I don't want to overwhelm the staff since D2D certification is just another consumer transaction and Walmart has not staffed up for it. I didn't want other shoppers to have to stand around a long time waiting on me. Since I grocery shop there once or twice a week, I just work in the D2D certification into my weekly shopping visits. I'll convert all that I can eventually that way. I started with my favorites and work backward from there.
