Well up to this point Paramount has given SD codes with DVD purchases.

I purchase Project X on Bluray and it shows up as HDX on Vudu.

I also purchased Big Miracle and Wanderlust and after 4 1/2 hrs. Still a no show on Vudu. These were from BluRay as well.

I don't think it's as straight foward as Blu Ray= HDX. I've had a couple mentioned in this post come from blu rays and I did not get HDX (Sherlock Holmes). Maybe that's their goal, but as of right now there are kinks to work out.

I just redeemed "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows" on Flixster and it came across as SD not HDX.

Any old movie codes will still be SD I guess. I bought The Town: Ultimate collectors edition at Best Buy a couple days ago when it was the deal of the day and the UV code gives SD. I guess this is just going forward new codes will give HDX. Too bad they couldn't figure out a way to retroactively give old blu ray codes a bump up.

Are you saying it shows as SD on Flixster or Vudu because all movies on Flixster only show as SD for the time being? Also was it from the DVD or the Blu-ray?

Are you saying you were able to put the code into vudu.com for Big Miracle and it worked?

The code is from the Blu-ray and it is showing up has SD on Vudu. I sent an email to Vudu and they are looking into it. Vudu needs to allow you to upgrade to HDX for $2 from home and make it available for all new releases.

                        at www.universaldigitalcopy.com/bigmiracle

                        you have 3 options

                        redeem on universal
                        redeem on flixster
                        redeem on vudu

I chose option 3 and it was hdx

I chose option 3 for wanderlust and it failed error contact universal
so i went ahead and redeemed on flixster
                        it came out as sd

Universal contacted me by e-mail gave me a new code that worked on vudu
and it came out as hdx

My codes came from a blu-ray dvd combo both of them so i dunno but i recommend redeeming on vudu rather then flixster.

There has to be some reason why some Holmes are in HDX and others not. Where did you get your BD and which version was it? Single or combo? Mine was the single disc BD from Amazon and it came HDX as well as a friend of mine.

When you choose option 2 or 3, does it show up as playable on the Universal's UV locker? Similar question about Paramount redemption through Vudu if anyone knows.

I redeemed ferris bueller's day off it came from a dvd so i expected sd on vudu and got sd and then i redeemed the same code on paramount.

It shows up as one movie on paramount but shows up on universal's account twice. Wanderlust which i redeemed on here in hdx shows up on there site too.
