The possible reasons are irrelevant to me however because when I paid for the movies they were on D2D/Vudu and every D2D movie is supposed to be UV compatible, which they were, and since I paid to have them put in my UV account I should have rights to the UV movies idefinitely, regardless of streaming movies deals/studio rights issues. This is the promise of UV and if I can just have movies I paid for pulled from my UV account with no explanation, this is a scary situation indeed. I understand the whole Paramount/Disney situation is complex and perhaps Paramount never technically had rights to distribute the Marvel movies on UV but like I said, I paid for them and therefore they should be mine. What is next? Are the movie studios going to come into my house and take DVD/Blu-rays from my collection that were discontinued at retail (I kid)? UVVU tech support has never got back to me and I am probably just going to be ignored. I am not going to ask for a refund because I still have the movies in Vudu and those four Marvel movies for $8 in HDX is still a great deal even without UV access. I see UV right now as a complement to physical media, not a replacement, and until the studios can prove to me that my collection is mine, which they have miserably failed in this regard, I will continue to consider it just a complement.
And thus we come to the real reason UV has had such a jittery start:
If you buy a pair of Reeboks and then Nike and Reebok merge, no one is going to come into your house and take your shoes because there has been a licenses change.

But virtual content? Companies have yet to fully convince us that they won't just walk into our UV locker and take what they feel we no longer have a right to.

The worst part is that "Terms and Conditions" for all services say virtually the same thing:

"We reserve the right to do whatever the devil we want, but because we want to keep you as a customer we MAY not do some of it."

This is horrible news for me to learn. Marvel movies are some of my favorites. Luckily, I hadn't used D2D on any yet.

Everyone knows how Disney removes movies from retail stores. Well, they are doing the same to their Streaming site as well. They are offering to replace the removed movies with any current title.

If Vudu or UV are going to be removing movies they should at the very least offer to replace them.

So it looks like Green Lantern was pulled with UV. And it disappeared from my Vudu account too (still on my Flixster page though). Anyone else?

I can't even fathom why this would be pulled. WB owns all the rights and it was one of the first UV launch titles. I'm trying to get a hold of UVVU and Flixster support and see if I can get an answer.

Yep. Seems to be gone. Since it was never a disc to digital title I guess it's not a terrible loss since it was only ever SD. Still sucks though.

Yeah, it's not like I was going to watch it soon on Vudu in SD. But, this being the second occasion of movies being pulled from UV without notice or reason (that I know of at least), my optimism for UV in the future is starting to waiver.

Green Lantern is still in my Vudu and UV accounts.

You means from Disney Movies Online right? Which movies did they pull? That is just plain wrong. You should contact the BBB or something.

Well that makes no sense. I don't know why it disappeared from my Vudu library either. I thought it would have stayed like Iron Man stayed in Vudu library even after it was removed from UV.

I guess I'll put in a ticket to Vudu too. I put one into UVVU. We'll see if I get an answer.

My UVVU issue with the Marvel movies was escalated to Neustar support about a week ago and I haven't heard back.

And that ticket's over 3 weeks old?

Re: Marvel D2D movies pulled from my Ultraviolet account!

It seems to be fixed now (for me at least). I got a response today. I had to play a round of "Prove I'm not an idiot and it wasn't my fault" which is common with a lot of my UV-related support tickets (they sent me a canned response of how to see if I have multiple UV accounts and to reset my password). After I responded, it reappeared on UVVU and Vudu shortly after. They haven't emailed back since they fixed it yet. Curious what happened.

EDIT: So the support agent I was talking to wasn't the one who fixed it. They emailed me back with more questions after it was back. So I guess I won't know what happened to it or how it was fixed. Oh well.

I'm new to D2D and Ultraviolet (only 35 movies converted so far). So, I hope you don't mind if I ask you how you got Marvel movies into your UV library? I bought 3D Combo packs that include a digital copy but they are talking about copying them to your PC. I don't want them on my PC, I want them in my UV locker. They're not even on the list for D2D conversion so how did you get them into your UV account?

They used to be in the D2D list for converting at Walmart stores. They were removed because Marvel movies are now owned by Disney. I converted Captain America early in the program b4 it was removed - it is in my Vudu movies but was removed from my uvvu list.
