Re: Progress of UV
I just passed 500. I buy from here on occasion when there's good sales but most were from codes and d2d.

Re: Progress of UV
Hey madmod, About how many movies do you have in your Vudu and UV collection? I'm getting close to 300. There are about 50 to 60 more blu-rays I want to D2D to HDX. Aside from D2D, I've actually purchased a good number of titles in HDX here on Vudu (mostly sale items or bundles that have a fair price). Of course, I'm adding new titles from blu-ray UV codes.Originally posted by madmod20061 View PostMe too. Most of my movies I have left that I can't d2d are MGM, Miramax and Lionsgate.

Re: Progress of UV
And here I thought I was the only customer who had this issue. I've walked at least 4 different Walmart employees at 2 different stores though the process. One has the username/password on a sticky on the monitor.

I live in the Lakeland FL area & use the Northside Walmart. Only 1 time did I have a long wait but after that, it seems as if 4 or 5 staffers know how to do it and going like clockwork for me.

Re: Progress of UV
I have no problem doing it at my walmart. I actually had a customer ask me if they wanted me to stamp the disc and I went no thanks. She was like that is good because it is a hassle. Don't know why anyone would say yes to her.

Re: Progress of UV
The only store that has been able to help me has only two employees that know how to do the disc to digitial...the others don't even know where they keep their folder with the instructions.
They gave up on trying to stamp my disks and they, like me, don't see the point so they don't even try to do it any more.
Also, I wonder why we can't take in our old VHS movies and convert to digital? Yes, I still have a few that I kept until I get DVD replacements for them.

Re: Progress of UV
My store's stamp ran out of ink, so now they use it with an ink pad...sometimes they stamp the center ring, as the stamp is designed to be used, but this last time I watched as the lady stamped one of my double-sided dvds on the B-side play surface...rubbing alcohol was my friend on that one.
I'd say if there's any way you can get the login info, memorize it so you can train employees on the spot. At my location I can see the screen on the computer they use, so I just walk them through the steps, even had one lady let me type in my email address for the customer search (which is not required if they put in your phone number).
My stores info is:
Store Number: 4-digit store number, adding preceeding zeros as required (ie 0xxx)
Employee Id: MediaConversion
Password: Vudu0xxx (0xxx = same number as above)
These are case-sensitive, anyone know if their store is the same format?

Re: Progress of UV
I must be out of the norm, but the employees in my local area are not terribly familiar with the process, but they always just grab the instruction manual and follow the steps and it takes about 15 minutes to get everything done. (I always have my movies already inputted into D2D making it easier and I don't bother to print the list anymore because they don't need it anyways)
However, of the two Walmart's I've been too, one doesn't have the stamp and the other Walmart's stamps don't work (ink related problems). So its actually been really nice to keep my discs clean as an added benefit.

Re: Progress of UV
I have a major problem with Walmart being able to handle the simple transaction of converting my DVDs to digital. I live in the Chattanooga, TN area and I have four Walmarts that are fairly close to my home. The two Walmarts closest to my home don't have a clue! Between the other two locations I have been able to find only two employees that can do this.
I have been complaining about this for about five months now. I haven't seen any progress in training employees.

Re: Progress of UV
Yeah, I kept telling them that there is a notebook with all the instructions but they couldn't even find that.Originally posted by jeffpn View PostIt only took a few minutes at my WalMart, and they don't do alot of D2D, they told me. They had to follow written instructions, but they got it done.
