I just got my shipping confirmation from VUDU for my Skyfall combo pack. So for those who picked up the pre-order in store keep an eye out for your shipping confirmation email.

I just go my shipping confirmation from Vudu also but it is shipping via UPS Mail Innovations which means it will delivered by USPS. This is probably why it was $18.96 versus $24.96. I will probably receive it Saturday or Monday since it ships from Amarillo, TX and I live in Fort Worth, TX. At least they had plenty of copies at the warehouse for the pre-purchase program unlike what happened with The Dark Knight Trilogy and I redeemed my code on 2/4/13.

This stinks wanted this movie and was at Wal Mart a lot recently and never saw it! I saw Hotel Transylvania did that as well but I wanted the 3D version. I probably would have done Twilight too but its only DVD version and probably SD copies of movies.

That is why I went to Walmart at 4:45AM on 2/4/13 before they reset the end capthat has the new releases for Tuesday's new releases and bought the Skyfall pre-purchase. I was on my way to work and this way I was the only customer in the store.

I just received my Skyfall Blu-ray/DVD from Vudu via USPS today. It includes the iTunes SD and Ultraviolet HDX code. I don't understand why Fox puts the iTunes digital copy on the same DVD as the movie thus compressing the DVD copy even more. I like that they give you both iTunes and Vudu copies like Universal and Paramount. I redeemed the iTunes digital copy on my computer and it showed up in my iTunes in the cloud on my Apple TV.

Speaking of which I would love Vudu on my Apple TV's but that is wishful thinking

As would I, but I don't know if the older, let alone current hardware can handle 3D, 7.1 and 1080P at the same, or even 3D. They would probably need a refresh on the AppleTV first, and it is past due.

I wold love to have a way to interface my iTunes and Vudu in one interface. I doubt Apple would allow that though.

At some point Apple will allow Apps on Apple TV though.

I think that the Apple TV 2nd and 3rd generations could handle a Vudu if was 2D and passed 7.1 out via the hdmi or optical out. I just bought a Roku 2 XS at Sam's Club for $79.98 with hdmi cable and 2 month trial of Hulu Plus and if it can handle Vudu than so can the Apple TV. Vudu could make their app for the iPhone/iPad airplay video's in HD to the Apple TV.

It doesn't actually contain the compressed iTunes digital copy file. It's essentially just the thing to launch the digital copy, which then gets downloaded from the cloud. The DVD isn't compressed any more than it would be without.

The disc contains a 2.02GB file that iTunes copies from the DVD to the hdd. Taken 2 and other movies that Fox released in the US after they joined UV still waste space on including the iTunes file on the DVD when you could download it from the iTunes Store.

Some movie releases do have the actual movie file the DVD. Skyfall and Taken 2 are good examples of recent releases that do.
