Great catch! They even give you five free credits.

Problem is every single Blu-Ray I threw at it came back as "Not Eligible - Only Previously Purchased Disc's Are Eligible".

This is weird because it recognized all of them, they are all on the D2D program, and they all have UV versions available.

Does their BETA only work with actual DVD and not Blu-Ray? CinemaNow is the same way right? Only VUDU is actually converting Blu-Ray's with D2D at this point it seems.

          Sigh!

I'm not quite sure what you are trying to say, but American Beauty was added to Vudu D2D about a week ago:

Flixster has taken their beta more public, and added it to the menu. The image attachement is not working for me, so here.

Re: Flixster has Disc to Digital Beta

I did get the 5 free movies, and redeemed them last night. No issues with the discs I selected. I do wish they had offered HD for $3, as I'd have done them all. You'd think they would prefer to make some money on the deal, but that's how it goes. I picked some I didn't care too much to get in HD, but there are several in my collection I would pay to upgrade.

                The titles were:
                Aeon Flux
                Conspiracy Theory
                Lara Croft: Tomb Raider
                U.S. Marshals
                The Fugitive

I started downloading them last night, but even with my fast Internet connection, they were not complete this morning. I wonder if they have a network capacity drain this week?

Is that the PC version of the Mac version? Mine (Mac) looks a little different.

It's how my Mac version looks... strange.

That's what it looks like on my MBP running OSX 10.6.8, too. Oh, and that external Blu-ray drive that I have that so far I haven't gotten to actually play Blu-ray movies? The Flixster app recognized Blu-ray titles! Of course, they're not eligible, but it recognized one, which means that if they start converting Blu-rays (or if we ever get home D2D for Mac from Vudu), I can get my $2 HDX conversions!

Not necessarily $2 conversions through Flixster though. They have crazy random pricing going on. I just used my last credit from them on Stephen King's Cat's Eye (only available in SD everywhere, so good to use credit on) and if I hadn't used my credit it would have been $2.50. I assume if Flixster ever gets BD support then they will choose random prices like that too. That's why Vudu is probably the way to go if you can access it. No surprises. $2/$5 and that's it.

Oh, I'd love to give my money to Vudu instead of CinemaNow or Flixster; price aside, the customer service is worlds apart. But all my DVDs are in a jukebox player, and if I'm going to take a bunch out, I would prefer to use my MacBook Pro while sitting in the home theater room rather than take them upstairs to the PC desktop server. I'm trying to wait it out, but I'm getting antsy.

Yep, the Flixster beta only works with DVDs and seeing how they use Rovi like CinemaNow I don't see them adding Blu-ray support anytime soon.

I've been trying to use Flixster's disc-to-digital with no success. They've given me the five free credits which naturally I want to use. I've tried upgrading two different DVDs ("The Wizard of Oz" and "Philadelphia Story"). Everything goes fine until the very end. When I click the final "Place Your Order" button I get a cryptic error message: "Purchase failed. There was an error completing your purchase. Your credit card has not been charged. Please try again later." I've tried several times now over the past day-and-a-half, using three different computers (two macs and a PC) and no success. Always the same error. I tried googling it and came up empty, but I find it hard to believe I'm the only one running into the problem. Tried emailing Flixster support but it's been over 24 hours and no response. Frustrating!

I have the same problem and am using Mac. Very frustrating. I left feedback and I'm hopeful there is a solution soon.
