BttF 2/3 are both UV and available for purchase in HDX. I'm not sure about D2D, but I used some credit I had on either Vudu or Cinemanow (I don't remember) to purchase them a while back.

Anyhow got me 3D Jurassic Parks and UV Copies for Vudu all in one shot. Why bother waiting for D2D.

I've seen people even sell the DVD's and UV code's from the Blu-Ray sets's of all three movies for $10 on eBay. Perfectly legal as well. You're buying the disc and the code and you already have the disc. $10 for all three movies. Not much more than D2D.

I tried for a while to get the 3 Jurassic Parks on eBay, but the prices were too high when I was looking, maybe I'll try again.

Maybe you haven't looked in a while or there was a glitch, but all 3 Back to the Futures are now available in UV here on Vudu and on Cinemanow.

Yes, you can purchase 1, 2 & 3 on Vudu and yes all three are UV eligible when purchased from Vudu.

HOWEVER, only 1 can purchased with a UV copy from Blu-Ray that is viewable with any UV provider. Which also means you can buy the Blu-Ray from anyone at any price and have it activated to be viewed with any UV streamer at any time.

Currently 2 & 3 through Vudu are only UV eligible. Meaning you must buy them through Vudu directly, only. Also the only way to view them with anyone else through UV is to have Vudu connected to UV and "feeding" the other providers. If you disconnect Vudu, it goes down, you close your Vudu account, or they go out of business, you don't have the UV access. On the other hand with say title 1 if one of your UV streaming is unavailable you can always the other.

None of the titles is D2D eligible either.

The main point was that for whatever reason Universal is allowing the premier title (oddly) more flexibility in that it's available in more formats and at more price points. Usually they would hold the premier titles and give us the lesser stuff.

Are you sure about this, if Vudu folds or we close our account we loose all our Ultraviolet titles obtained from Vudu?
I thought the way Ultraviolet worked was once they were in our UV locker, no matter what happened to the provider they stayed there.

I'm obviously not final authority, or any authority for that mattor. My point was still that there was more flexibility, better pricing, and less risk with UV where it came with or was also available on Blu-Ray / DVD.

However, on this particular subject I would have to that there is a difference between titles that "added" to your UV locker with FULL UV rights and titles that are only available "actively linked" and when that connection is not active you can not view the title. Now that doesn't mean that Active can't be converted at a future date, but to "me", at "this" time it's one more thing creating that much more risk.

Do you have a reference for this? I couldn't find one on Vudu or UVVU. If this is true I would like to know for certain.

I think though you are artificially separating UV titles into "full" and those needing a link. Every UV title has a redeeming provider listed with it even ones I obtained using a code that came with a disc and I don't see a clear distinction on my UVVU account.

I don't really want to do the experiment and delink an account and see what happens. I don't trust Ultraviolet not to screw things up when I attempt to relink. Maybe I'll try with a T---- account if I set one up.

I found a new one today:

                      Retreat

It wasn't there a week or two ago and now is.

So does anyone feel like this is stagnating? No updates, no fixes, no responses and now a lack of new titles? It is like no one at Vudu cares about this.

I agree that it is stagnating. Not only are there no new disc to digital titles, there haven't been any new UV titles in over a month, with the exception of the new releases. I really don't think the library can grow much more until another studio like MGM, Relativity, Magnolia, or Weinstien/Miramax/Dimension starts to add titles. The big five studio's have committed most of their catalog with only a handful of titles that aren't available. It's really upvto Lionsgate and MGM to beef it up. between the two they could easily add 2000+ films immediately.

Sorry, but not new. RETREAT was added in March. Check the list on the first page of this topic.

There is a bug in the online D2D catalog that freezes up after you type "re" together. Sometimes you can get past it by typing quickly. I'm sure you just ran into this issue the first few times you tried looking up this movie.

There is a thread about this bug already. That's where I read about it.

The way I found to get around the "RE" bug is to skip the "E" until the whole title is in, then left click after the "R" and type in the "E". So "Retreat" would be "Rtreat" then click in the "E".

Interesting... I did notice that I would have problems when looking up titles beginning with "R" but didn't know that it was "Re"?
