          1492 is cool.

It did not exist on Vudu before, but now is an available title for straight-up EST purchase too.

          thank you for the update.

Ha, that's straight from VUDU's mouth! Interesting example here of the difference between the D2D API (that I also use) and the titles:
                http://www.vudu.com/in_home_disc_to_digital.html

Type in 'strawberry', then click on 'Strawberry Shortcut' and it will display the movie popup as 'Strawberry Shortcake'.

My mental autocorrect worked perfectly though. I didn't notice it and I must have read it 7 times. (And even hit up Amazon to see if it's available yet.)

Strawberry Shortcut. It's that long awaited crossover between Strawberry Shortcake and Friday the 13th. It's a must see.

What would a "shortcut" have to do with Friday the 13th specifically, as opposed to any other horror flick (i.e., the victims got to the killer by taking a shortcut)?

                      * This is a new release, so probably earmarked for D2D, but will not work at home.

I don't understand. Why would it not work at home if it's now part of D2D?

Re: Disc to Digital Title List

it has to do with the history of the D2D program.

basically, all titles which were library titles at the start of the D2D program worked via the in-home method.

All titles released and added to the D2D program after the start of the D2D program did not work on the in-home app. Instead, those need be brought into the store to be processed D2D.

However, most newer titles comes with UV redemptions that make D2D redundant.

                          Hope this helps.

The in store method uses an employee to physically verify the disc and approve the conversion. The in home software relies on disc reading and recognition, matching certain elements to a database, and Vudu's database (?Gracenote) or software is not very robust at this process.

Depends on where you buy it. We have a huge used media store here and I often find new releases and the codes have either been discarded or used by the original owner.
