    Re: Error reading DVD disc.

Actually, after following these instructions, I can now play tracks, but there's no menu and I can't tell which is the main track. So it's theoretically possible, but it's a huge PITA unless you also pay for Blu-ray player software. (Unless that's also on the disc that came with the drive.)

      Re: Error reading DVD disc.

After spending a month just trying to install the software (b/c no where on the installation page does it suggest to upgrade Adobe Air, a forum member tipped me off to that), now I'm getting this error.

It's incredibly foolish to advertise the special offer and so many have problems taking advantage of it. I want a 50% of voucher for conversions from Walmart since this crap doesn't work right.

For AMD chipsets, try updating the RAID or ACHI drivers. For example this link has an updated driver for the 700 series or newer AMD chipsets:

        http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownloa...windows.aspx#1

If you have an older AMD chipset you'll need to search AMD's site and downloaded the appropriate drivers for your chipset.

So far I do not see our software doesn't work. Most of the issues are to be resolved with updated drivers and correct configuration of the BIOS.

Please read this post, and this post for this issue.

So, every time I try to change my bios to anything but RAID, my PC locks up while trying to start windows, then restarts, and tries to go into recovery mode. I'm assuming that I'm doing something wrong.

I'm running on an HP h8-1234
            Board: Gigabyte 2AC8 1.2
hp DVD-RAM SW810 SCSI CdRom Device [Optical drive]
            Windows 7 Premium (64bit)

You will have to do a registry tweak in Windows before you switch the BIOS from RAID into AHCI mode to avoid it going into recovey mode.

See the answer in this link for the registry keys Speedaddict81 is referring to:

The only bottle neck I can think of would it playing through USB. I just wonder if that would cause the bluray playback to be choppy or unstable.
Oh, the tracks that I did play, they did play fairly smoothly, but this was on a work monitor, not a home theater display. I'm running Win7 Enterprise on a i7-2600 CPU @3.4GHz, and I had it hooked up via the CPU, which are USB 2.0 ports.

For the record; I've spent the better part of 4hr's working on this. I was receiving the same error as everyone else with every DVD that I tried. I updated all drives, that didn't help, I changed the registry and BIOS settings that where identified initially and that didn't help. On the last page there was a second registry setting that I needed to change, now I seam to be able to read disks.

My system is a stock system with just some additional RAM and a graphics card installed. I made no changes to the BIOS beyond setting the boot order! You need to get your software to work with systems as they ship. You will NOT get 99% of users to go through what I just did to get his working. your lucky I work in IT, I'm stubborn, like troubleshooting, and want the discount offered!

                      My system info is:
OS Name Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate
                      Version 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 Build 7601
                      System Manufacturer Hewlett-Packard
                      System Model p6510y
                      System Type x64-based PC
                      Processor AMD Athlon(tm) II X4 630 Processor, 2800 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)
                      BIOS Version/Date American Megatrends Inc. 6.09, 9/7/2010
                      SMBIOS Version 2.6

Also, I noticed in several places where LLC asked for debug info and more and more info, but you only sent PM's to people regarding how to generate the debug info. Put it in the threads and I know I would GLADLY have provided you that info. Don't ask for more info and then effectively hide how to generate the info you need! Give us the tools to help you!!!!

Congrats! It took me similar amount of time to find the solution for IRST too. At least at this time, we can narrow down the issue to look for the solution. The configuration hardware + OS + drivers are so many to cover all possible situation.

I had 8 movies queue'd up trying to get to 10 for the 50% off deal, then all of a sudden every disc I try has errors. Just to experiment, I removed a movie that had worked previously, tried re-adding it, and that one is receiving an error.

Any suggestions other than drive to Walmart?

                                Can you elaborate?
When did you add that 8 movies?
                                When did it start failing?
