The topic concerning MGM is if their historical library of titles will be sold off to a studio (Sony and Disney have both been mentioned), or if they will be able to ever join DECE and release their historical titles to the D2D program. However, neither of those are topics for this thread, so I left them off the table.

okay. I'll put effort into staying on the beam. I promise.
I do think the description of me being a raving gloating fanboy'esk is sadly accurate. I will try to moderate the tone a bit and keep the gloating to myself.

I don't know how to make myself clearer on this front.

Facts, please. Your chart is wonderful and helpful, all this other commentary devalues it. We're all intelligent here and the chart speaks for itself, that's all.

sorry. I fear it is a character flaw.
plus, I am glad to see iTunes depart and my reposting of the table is a form of cathartic jubilation at their downfall.
Their attempt to corner the market HAS FAILED!!!! Yeah!!!!

The title of the thread also seems a bit... I dunno, heavy-handed and biased? Less agenda, more facts would be best.
Sure, no major studio is offering iTunes' Digital Downloads exclusively any more, but they are still offered as options in the same places.
I see this news as more like "The Solidification of UltraViolet/VUDU in the Digital Copy Market" and less about "iTunes' demise."
Again, choice for the consumer is always best.
There was no choice when iTunes was the sole option.
I am glad the metro-folks from Apple are being driven from this new market by an angry mob with torches and pitchforkes.
iTunes was cute for MP3 kinds of things, but no way would I marry myself to Apple with respect to my home entertainment collection.
The dictionary definition of demise: "end of something: the end of something that used to exist, especially when it happens slowly and predictably"
I am sorry you do not like this word. Sometimes reality is harsh.
