Re: Hansel & Gretel - Rated or Unrated?

I asked Vudu to give me an update a couple days ago, and they haven't responded. Luckily, Paramount issued me a new code. I redeemed it at Flixster and got the Unrated Cut.

So in the end, Paramount and Flixster come through. And Vudu dropped the ball. Makes me wonder if I should start redeeming all my codes at Flixster?

Glad I seen this thread. I hate rated cuts coming iwth my unrated. I guess I'll have to go back and let other people be the guinea pigs on redeeming before I do so. I used to do that but never had problems iwth VUDU. I'm going to contact paramount in the next couple days but hopefully they don't ask for a receipt cause I tossed it.

Awesome. Submitted a ticket at Flixster 15 minutes ago and this is already resolved for me.

That is awesome and very much in line with the "new" Flixster. Their customer service is amazing and lightning fast, whether you e-mail them or "GASP," do an online chat with them.
I laughed when I read this though as I put in a service request to Vudu, on the phone, on April 23rd.....that was April 23rd of this year. A week or 2 ago, I called them to ask what the status of my request was since I hadn't heard from them recently (to put it kindly). I had put in a request for the Unrated version of AMERICAN REUNION, which I redeemed through Vudu from the combo pack and got the Theatrical version. Back around April 23rd, Vudu made me send them a copy of the paper insert that CLEARLY states that the code was for a copy of AMERICAN REUNION (UNRATED). So, anyway, when I spoke with Vudu a week or so ago, they said they didn't think the studio gave them the rights to the Unrated version, but they will check with Universal and get back to me by e-mail. Again, this was about a week or 2 ago.
          Sigh.
I can't complain too loudly though because this is a rare misstep for them. Well, except for the Cowboys and Aliens thing, and I guess now this (Hansel and Gretel). Again, it's okay. I still would never give up my Vudu.

Well this sucks. I had the Unrated due to preorder offer and decided to just redeem my code for the rated version, I clicked REDEEM on the rated version but it now gives the Unrated which I already have thus wasted code -.- Can I get the Rated version added or the code back?

              Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters
Double Feature - Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters (Unrated) plus Sleepy Hollow

This second one suggests to me that the only way to get the Unrated Version from Vudu is to redeem the pre-order code that you buy from Walmart. So I suggest that if you want the extra 10 minutes of this movie you should probably redeem your code purchased with the Blu-ray at Flixster.
Question to anyone? Was the Double Feature also an in-store non-preorder? One buddy got the UV Double Feature code from another buddy and neither does preorders.

Not sure if they did a non-preorder double feature, but yes, the pre-order came with sleepy hollow as a bonus.

Thanks Guys. Had to be in-store purchase as the pre-order has Sleepy Hollow bundled & tied to Hansel & Gretal and the in-store gives you separate movies of each in your "My VUDU".

I ended up contacting Flixtster customer support and they gave me me the "rated" one by mistake. I contacted them back and they gave me the "unrated". I now have both.
