    What's needed for In-Store D2D?

So I'm thinking of heading down to my Wal-Mart once the promotion ends and clear up the last few discs that won't register... do I need to take the case or anything, or can I just take the discs themselves (it'll be easier to carry them to the counter as a stack of discs than maybe 50 DVD cases, is my thinking)? I know they will stamp the discs themselves, just wondering if they need any more verification of the title.

Just your disk should do. If they don't do alot of these expect for a fairly long wait time. My visit lasted about 45 minutes and that was for 12 disk. Hope that helps.

      Just the discs are required.

If you take in the cases, pre-remove the mag-security strips from inside. Otherwise, you will probably set off the alarms on your way out. I learnt to take them out before I would go after about the second time.

Also, it is helpful if you pre-load your titles into the below link. It is not necessary, but if you do, the Wal-Mart employee will just have one mouse click to add all your titles to the order and then print out the bar-code sticker.

For me, it takes all of 2-5 minutes.

I only go when the photo lab opens up at 10:00 am and there is never a line. The lady at the counter knows me and knows how to do it quickly so it's a great experience for me. Better than the "not recognized" or recognized incorrectly errors we get on Vudu2Go.

Pretty sure you need to do it online with the and generate the list / printout and take that along with the disc. But others know best.

The printout is not uber-important, but adding them to your list at the link Walter posted is. It will save a lot of hassle, for you and the person doing your transaction. Also, I recommend that you give them only your phone number for the "search" they perform to find your list, unless there is absolutely no way to input your email address wrong.

PS: If they seem unfamiliar with the process and then start to stamp your discs, make sure they don't do it on the play surface. Either way, a little rubbing alcohol and a cotton ball will remove the ink.

Mine is nine. I also know that I can show up about 8:30 and most of the time they clear me out after the register is opened about 8:45. I browse the asiles while I wait.

Now only if they would load "Stargate" so I can make another trip. That went UV about three weeks ago. I have been waiting for the D2D update on it and "The Passion of the Christ" ever since.

Yes, it's also 9:00 am for me but officially the photo lab doesn't open until 10:00am. I also have those 2 movies and will convert as soon as they are available.

I print 2 copies, 1 for them and 1 for myself. This way, they don't have to input the titles you have and they also don't have to write down the list for their books. As for the search, I use my email address because it won't bring it up using my phone number. Quick and painless. Fun times for all...woo hoo...
