T2 has been available for quite some time now.

I do not know if this has been posted. Full Metal Jacket is no longer being recognized as Barry Lyndon.

Unfortunately, 2001: A Space Odyssey still shows up as Barry Lyndon lol. FMJ worked properly for me though.

Also, my theatrical version of Fellowship of the Ring only shows up as the extended version. I think I'll just lop off a bunch of these films and then buy them later so that I'll still be able to take advantage of the 10+ promo pricing (assuming you can take advantage of that promo more than once).

In my last post I wrote that 2001: A Space Odyssey is incorrectly recognized as Barry Lyndon. The UPC code for my copy of 2001 is 012569798380.

From my six movie "Avengers" boxed set, UPC unknown:
            • 'Thor' and 'Iron Man' were not recognized.
            • 'The Avengers' got the 'had a problem recognizing this disc' error.
            • 'Captain America: The First Avenger' and 'Iron Man 2' were recognized as Blurays from other sets, but were not eligible.
            • 'The Incredible Hulk' was both recognized and eligible.

Issues with D2D with newer movies on the list

Recently I have had issues converting some newer movies that are on the D2D list. Some examples, Frozen Ground, The Heat, The Croods. Are these on the list because they have a UV copy available, but not necessarily let you convert from DVD?

The Croods was fixed (at least my blu ray copy works now). The others are on the list since the "Should" work but don't work with the Beta right now. It has trouble recognizing newer releases.

All those are considered Disney movies now and won't work except for the Hulk movies.

Carnage is on the D2D list, but when I try it I get the message "This disc is not eligible for Disc to Digital, please insert another disc or try again later", even though it definitely is eligible according to the In-Home D2D page.

Sorry, I don't see a way to link to a specific result, but if you type "carnage" into the search box you'll see that the result is the one I linked to at the beginning of this post, and both are the same disc I have, with UPC 043396395916.

No, there is no limit on the number of checkouts on which you can get the 50% off, because I've done at least 3 or 4 transactions so far. Although the promotion has been extended a few times, I wouldn't rely on it being extended, so I'd leave 10 in your cart (or remove 10 from your cart, then check out and then re-scan them) so that you get the 50% off on any additional discs you find between now and the end of the month. (The sale currently is scheduled to end on Jan. 31.)

But these examples did not work with the Flixster D2D app either, so I'm a little confused.

The point madmod20061 was making is that those other titles you listed are on the D2D eligibility list and should work but they currently don't work at this time. You can take them to Wal-Mart to be added to your account but that is beside the point.

Eligible titles can be looked up at this link:

                          http://www.vudu.com/in_home_disc_to_digital.html

Flixster and Vudu are 2 separate companies with 2 completely different eligibility lists. They do have a lot of the same titles but they are nowhere near 100% the same. Vudu tends to have the most up to date list but it's home software is still in BETA so a lot of the newer titles will not read. Like the person above me said, you can still take them to walmart and add them that way in the meantime. The other services like Flixster and Cinemanow do not have in store services and do not have very up to date lists so there is no way to get copies of newer titles through them short of redeeming codes or paying full retail.

Really? Even though they are still available for purchase on vudu? Interesting. I guess that makes sense though, since Disney did buy the rights.

                              More updates in the meantime:

Misidentified or "Unable to Identify" Discs
                              • "The End of the Affair" 1999 remake DVD, UPC 043396047457. tHIS is recognized as the original 1955 version of that movie.
                              • "Das Boot: The Director's Cut" 2-Disc Superbit DVD, UPC 043396008786 - "Unable to identify this disc"; both discs do this. I identified them as "Das Boot 1985 DVD" in the program, but of course that's not quite right.
                              • "Paper Clips" DVD, UPC 829567029220.
                              • "Ringers: Lord of the Fans" DVD, UPC 043396121997
                              • "Creating the Lord of the Rings Symphony" DVD, UPC unknown.

"There was a problem while verifying this disc."
                              • "The Night of the Living Dead" remake DVD, UPC 043396771796
                              • "Real Genius" DVD, UPC 043396077348
                              • "Paycheck" DVD, UPC 097363380344
                              • "Bottle Rocket" DVD, UPC 043396116290
                              • "Seven" DVD, UPC 794043698927
                              • "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest" DVD, UPC 085393622220. Both sides of the DVD yield this error.

                              Minor issues
                              • "Schindler's List" DVD, UPC Uncertain - Side One not recognized. Side Two works fine.
                              • "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" from Years 1-6 boxset, UPC 5051892010375 - This movie is two discs; the first disc gets "There was a problem while verifying error", but the second works just fine.
                              • "The Blues Brothers: Collectors Edition" DVD was correctly recognized, but instead of giving me the option to select the theatrical or the extended cut, it defaults to the theatrical cut. I'd like the extended one.
                              • "Gladiator" Sapphire Edition Bluray was correctly recognized, but instead of giving me the option to select the theatrical or the extended cut, it defaults to the theatrical cut. I'd like the extended one.

One more thing: if you have a title on DVD and register it with the cart, but then realize you have the Bluray, remove the DVD from the cart, and add the Bluray, then - even if the cart recognizes the Bluray and gives you the option to buy the movie for $2, the cart will recognize this as you selecting the SD option for the earlier DVD (which is the same price - $2). I am hesitant to buy the two films I had this happen to ("Pulp Fiction" and "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix") as I don't want to be stuck with an SD version.

Several Blurays I entered had their title names recognized properly (titles which include the word 'Bluray') but were identified as DVDs and got the DVD rather than Bluray pricing. These include:
                                • "Serenity" Bluray, UPC 025195055796
                                • "Braveheart" Sapphire Edition Bluray, UPC 097361396743
                                • "American History X", UPC 794043128172
                                • "Batman" from my 'The Tim Burton Collection' set, UPC 883929251599
                                • "Beetlejuice" from the same set
