I know these movies should work!

I humbly apologize if this subject has already been brought up. There were just too many threads to look through and I didn't know exactly what keywords to look up. I'm trying to add some Blu-ray movies to my account (eg. The Little Mermaid, Monsters University, etc?). I tried to add my copies (versions without an ultraviolet code) and I am being told that they are ineligible. I have friends that already have these on their voodoo accounts. I tried a friend's copy after mine didn't work (her copy came with an ultraviolet code, but she had already used it). Her copy came up ineligible as well. Am I doing something wrong?

    Thank you in advance.

Could you please PM me your email address on Vudu and the codes themselves so I can take a closer look for you.

If you are trying Disc2Digital, these movies are not eligible. Also no Disney movies are Ultraviolet or D2D eligible, although they may be available on Vudu.

I have redeemed all of my disney movies via digitalcopyplus.com and then choose vudu as my provider and it takes me here and adds the movie to my account. I have done this with 10 blurays so far. I have not used the codes directly on vudu, though.

That's part of my confusion. Disney movies are available through VUDU by using a digital code. Why aren't they available through D2D if you own a copy and want to add it to your library that way?

I also have another example of the problem I'm facing. I tried to add all 3 Robocop Blu-ray movies, produced by MGM, and they all 3 came up as ineligible through D2D. All 3 are available for purchase through the VUDU website in the standard way. Can anyone explain this?

          Thanks again.

Your are confusing EST (electronic sell through) with D2D. Just because you can purchase a movie on VUDU doesn't mean it's available via D2D. First off, the movie needs to be UV (there are a couple exceptions but very very few). Then it is up to the studio's (Disney and MGM in your example) that have to allow the movie to be available for D2D before it can be offered and in both cases neither studio's are allowing it at this time. Both MGM and Disney is a wait and hope they come around. However, even in studio's that do allow it (like WB, or Universal), does not mean that their entire catalog is available via D2D. A lot times movies with theatrical and uncut/directors may have one version that is D2D and another that is not. It can be confusing, the only way to know what movies are available for D2D is to use the search on the 'Convert DVD's' site - http://www.vudu.com/in_home_disc_to_digital.html.

Some Codes are just for iTunes, you should try them there. If you are getting ineligible when signing up you may not meet the age requirement. Hope this helps.
