I will respond to the thread only to say that I have been having problems with in-store D2D lately as well. The two Walmarts closest to me have lately been having problems putting the order in. I should note that I have been using these two stores for D2D SEVERAL times for over a year. From now on I will take the advice from this thread.

    Fantastic suggestion if only that:

-This issue hadn't been going on for MONTHS at many, many locations.
-Trying to contact Walmart IT was 1+ hour wait when I went there. I wasn't going to wait around for that long for a possible fix!

Voicing your concern to the store manager will also help tremendously. The manager should then create a ticket with Walmart IT for a resolution.

Re: Walmart not doing In-Store Disc to Digital??

Two of my local Walmart stores are having trouble. The store I most often go to (and one of the associates whom most often assists me) were unable to assist on Friday.

It seems they they were taken off line for a day or so for systems upgrades, and when they came back online, the Vudu password stopped working. Now I know that this isn't a case of an employee not knowing the password. This particular associate is a Vudu whiz who's helped me countless times in the past. I've even watched her train new employees on how to do it. No, this was a case of her honestly being baffled because he usual password simply didn't work anymore.

She requested that I come back on Monday so that she could try to acquire a new password. We'll see how it goes

(Oh, I mentioned two store. When she was unable to use her password, I started driving home and passed another Walmart on the drive home. They have done D2D for me there on an occasion or two, but I more often go to the other store. I figured since my primary store was unable, I might as well try it there. They had the same issue. They'd also been down for upgrades, and found that their assigned password was no longer working)

Re: Walmart not doing In-Store Disc to Digital??

I was in Walmart store 1861 today. The Photo area had no Internet connection, and could not get to the VUDU site, nor Walmart.com. Tried the Wireless department, but the lady had a long line, and couldn't help. She suggested Customer Service. Customer Service was able to get to the Vudu site, but it was not working. They could not login. They could not find the Vudu manual in Customer Service, or Photo. They didn't know who to call.

I called the Vudu customer support line, and they told me the Associate should call the 700-Walmart line for assistance. They seemed reluctant to ask for help. I spoke to a manager, but made no progress. After about an hour, I gave up.

Since I travel, it will be next weekend before I can try again. Pretty frustrating experience. I do wish the Vudu-to-Go supported all D2D titles, but that's just not the case. I tried the other D2D services, but my discs didn't work there either.

    I was trying to convert:
TCM Greatest Classic Legends: James Stewart
(The Shop Around the Corner / The Stratton Story / The FBI Story / The Spirit of St. Louis)
The first title works, fine, but not the rest.

The error that I kept getting at my Walmart was a timeout when trying to process the order, which makes sense given around the time that issue started the website started taking forever to navigate and the Roku app takes several attempts to login.

It took me 8 trips to 3 different Wal Marts to get mine done. One guy even tried to tell me I can't do that because it's copyright infringement

So Wal Mart no longer gets any money from me unless its D2D at home.

Call 1-800-Walmart and complain. They will contact the store manager, and the employees will be trained in how to do it.

I had to do this in order to get my local store trained in the process, and now they know how to do it.

I went to the store today to convert some that were not working with the At Home program. Took them an hour to figure it out. They couldn't find the manual, and eventually a young guy with a pony-tail showed them the way.

The Manager stated that this was first time he was aware of this problem and thanked me several times for letting him know.

So, we will see, but the Manager seemed to be very helpful, and was going submit a repair ticket and see that it is resolved. He told me to check back middle of next week, so maybe I will wait until next weekend and try again.

The Blu-ray movies that I was getting this message on were:

    Slither
    The Exorcist Extended Director's Cut
    Chariots of Fire
    Prince of Darkness
    The Smurfs
    The Killing Fields
    Jurassic Park 1, 2, & 3
    Cellular
    The Ring

I have more but these were the ones I was trying to get converted today.
Interesting that you have Slither on Blu-Ray! It hasn't been released in America on Blu. Is your copy the Canadian release?
