    Mostly digital??

Is it just me or over the last few weeks/months am I?m seeing more movies that I would love to buy only to find out they?re only digital? I was surprised about it for Thor Ragnarok (know it?s older) but was very surprised by Infinity War not being available for disc plus digital. One of the hottest movies of the year. The same thing applies for Tag, Upgrade, The Death of Superman just to name a few among many others. Vudu was my go to for all new movies, especially with the Instawatch feature. I?m just not totally sold on having digital without physical backups when the internet goes down or whatever reason. Long story short, is there a reason anyone knows of why there has been a decrease in the number of new releases with disc plus digital? Digital, while a great feature, digital only is never my first choice and I?ve spent more time lately going to places that still offer both. It?s a shame the offerings are inconsistent. Even with 3$ off some pre-orders I?d rather pay full price for disc and digital. Any thoughts about this???

I would assume it would be because of a lack of interest.

Disney does not participate in the D+D program.

Most popular new releases will be physical as well as digital. For older titles, you may never see them released on Blu-ray because the cost would be too much as the previous poster mentioned. The market for physical is drying up and due to lack of interest and the studios could lose money on trying to sell older titles on Blu-ray. Many chains no longer carry CD's for the exact same economic reason.
