D2D Vudu2go not working for any DVDs (but Flixster D2D does)

I am using the Vudu2go app to try to convert dvds from disc to digital. I have already successfully used on on most blu-ray discs. However, for all dvds I have tried it gives me the message "there was an error reading this disc. You may take this disc to your nearest Walmart store for instant conversion".

If I try to use the disc to digital conversion on the Flixster app, the very same dvds are recognized and I can perform the conversion. Additionally, I can watch the dvds normally on the same computer (i.e. it's not a problem with the disc being unreadable.)

I have tried this with over 20 dvds and it really appears that the Vudu2go app has just blanketly refused to recognize any dvds. While I could just transfer them by taking them to Walmart or using the Flixster app, I would much rather pay $2.50 per disc instead of $5.00.

    Any suggestions?

Perhaps it has something to do with Adobe Air -- the newest version (just installed yesterday) "broke" Vudu2Go completely. It now says I need a version of Adobe Air that isn't installed...the "current" Adobe version isn't recognized.

    Sigh.

I thankfully found a fix! Uninstall the current version of Adobe Air (v.20) and download the old version (v.19) in the Adobe archives. Link: https://helpx.adobe.com/air/kb/archi...AIR_downloads_

Hopefully this will fix your problem too!

Unfortunately after uninstalling Air v 20 and installing v19, I still have the problem. Flixster recognizes the disc, Vudu2go does not.

I should add that I've been having this problem consistently since February (when I started transferring blu-ray titles) so I don't think it's related to any recent updates.

Hopefully Vudu engineering has taken note

There's a useful thread somewhere in here that has some troubleshooting tips. I know I used it when I had the trouble - for me, the problem was some Intel raid software (even though my laptop only has one drive) that I had to upgrade, which solved the problem. I'll see if I can find the thread.

              Here's the thread: https://forum.vudu.com/showthread.ph...VD-disc/page17

Go through the whole thread, but the first post on the above page mentions the four potential solution that thread discusses.
