    D2D - Commercial Discs

As the movie rental stores went out of business, they sold off their inventory to the public. My understanding is that I now have the full rights to any movie disc I bought from them. I believe these discs might have different upc codes compared to the home version, are the commercial discs excluded from this program?

No, as long as you own it, it doesn't matter. It may not be detected if it was a rental disc though. I used several discs in the program that I purchased from a rental store.

Family Video (rental store) is still open (well... not during COVID-19...). Their movies use to state "RENTAL ONLY" with a bogus barcode. Those of course will not work, but it depends on what you have. I am not sure if the extra cases that Family Video repackages (some cases are recreated), I would say they probably don't go through the effort to making sure that the barcode is on there / correct. YMMV however. Sounds like a big "probably not" in my opinion, as the UPC has to be whatever VUDU accepts. The list VUDU has is usually only the mainstream barcodes, and not really random one offs.
