Can you still convert blurays to digital if your computer doesn't run Blurays?

I want to start using the home disc to digital but my computer only has a dvd drive and everyting I own is bluray, Will it still work or do I need to go to Walmart to do it?

You need to go to the store. The app requires a BD drive if you want to do in-home conversion for Blu-ray discs.

In my case, I just took them to work and found someone with a newer laptop to do it there. Sometimes even buying a drive to add to your computer is worth it, since it will give you 50% off with enough discs.

I bought a drive to add to my computer. It can't play blurays because that requires software that is more expensive than the drive itself. But that drive works just fine for d2d and iTunes digital copies. Which is fine with be because that's what I bought it for in the first place. And it has already saved me it's cost several times over with d2d costing half what it would at Walmart.

Not an endorsement, just an example: I bought this external drive on Amazon and it saved me about as much as I paid for it by letting me get 50% off for D2D on every blu-ray I already owned or subsequently bought. But even if I didn't make back my money, it was worth it to be able to do these conversions myself, rather than go through the issues that everyone posts about with in-store conversion.
