This is ridiculous. I can't convert because I must be at my billing address. Except I am at my billing address. I am in my bedroom. I live on a 3 acre parcel. What am I supposed to do, wander around the property through the fields and try to find out where I live according to Vudu? Maybe I'll have to stand in the middle of the creek for it to register.

Felipe, give your techs some feedback. The app is garbage because even when you meet the requirements you don't meet the requirements. I suppose I could dig out my desktop and use it to convert my movies like I used to except for the fact that my motherboard is fried and I don't feel like paying hundreds of dollars for a computer so I can get $2 movies.

Disappointed to see Vudu expired the $41 worth of credit I had on my account even though I paid for the credits.

Gotta make sure you take the disc out to own it - or at least be reasonably sure you arent just buying the disc and then getting digital copy and then just returning it to store for a refund.

I scanned 2013 movie Beautiful Creatures 8-83929-26937-2, it took and I got Beautiful Creatures, HOWEVER, the movie with this name in my library is NOT the same movie I scanned. The movie that appears in my library is one from 2001 which I do not own and do not want. There are obviously problems with the database, it needs to be verified that it has the correct movie for the barcode.

Cant get it to work. According to google I am at my house. But according to gps locator, I am in the alley behind my house. I tried walking across the street but that didn't help. Extremely disappointed. Anyone know who I can reach out to?

Having the same issue. compass coordinates on iPhone show me at my home yet get error address match match billing. Really frustrating. Plus the fact when I did take the discs to walmart they didn't have a clue how to scan.
any one have a fix for this?

The scanner seems unable to scan a single bar code that i've tried..... worthless!

I'm in the same boat. I can't find any way to adjust the focus. I got it to read a barcode once, and it gave me the wrong title.

Re: Disc to Digital Mobile: Only your smartphone required! 👍

Scanned about 25 titles both DVD and BR. Got 8 to work. A few times I had to rescan the bar code to get the app to take it. Seem the app is a little to fast to take the picture before camera has a chance to focus.

I understand the location needing to be on to work with billing. Could there be a second part to the app just to scan the database and not purchase the moves? I'll hit up garage sales and flea markets from time to time and it would be nice to be able to check the database to see what UPCs are valid. That way I could purchase the movies at the garage sale and do the disc to digital scan when I got back home.

The immediate "unable to recognize UPC" seems to be when it actually does recognize it as a valid upc, and can read it clear enough, but it doesn't match the database. When I put it in front of foreign UPCs, it just stays there not taking a snap shot. If I put it in front of my DVD of 'True Lies', it says it can't recognize the UPC and to try again, but I know it's rejecting it because it's not in the database anymore. In the same lighting, it can pick up UPCs of Blu-Rays I've already converted.

Yeah, it's tricky. My first one was successful and then the next several didn't work because the app kept snapping the picture before the barcode was in frame.

I learned to bring my camera too close to the barcode and then back it away from the case until it takes the picture. That seems to work pretty well, and it doesn't jump the gun.

I'm still getting the technical issue pop up every time I try it. I sent a support ticket days ago and still nothing.

actually u dont need to scan the whole UPC code perfectly to get it working. Most of the blurays I read just took the barcode lines and immediately recognize my movies. SImply touch the upc paper to the phone and pull back a bit and the movie or Goonies will pop up and say "convert to HDX" On my Iphone 7 with all latest patches, os, etc its pretty fast the response time I get.

The GPS does have a few bugs I notice that maybe someone hasnt saw yet. I find that if I set the Gps to use "WHILE APP IS PLAYING" still ask me to turn on the GPS. Maybe a bug or Always on was meant to be. For the camera I make sure to always keep my room lights on or if am watching at night I stick a flashlight on my bluray and the scan works. I tried turning on my phones built in flashlight and switch back to vudu, but didnt work. Maybe in the next update they should keep the cameras light on or have a option to have the built flashlight off/on whenever u are in mobile to digial copy mode?

Re: Disc to Digital Mobile: Only your smartphone required! 👍

I still have not been able to successfully convert a movie using the app. I have all my phone's settings correct. I already know no Disney movies will work, maybe not ever. So I scanned through 4 dozen non-Disney titles which I have previously tried in the PC VuduToGo app. Most of them are non-eligible titles, but some of them weren't recognized in my PC DVD drive. For the non-eligible titles, the cell phone app gave me that notice, dead end for those titles (Rocky II, III, Balboa, legally blonde, The Guardian, many others . . . ).

But 8 titles gave me the "GPS location must match billing address" error. So, after this error repeated from all corners inside my home, I carried these 8 DVDs outside and wandered around scanning them repeatedly until I came to the lamppost across the street (it's almost midnight here, lol) and scanned them, and now instead of the GPS location error, the thinking spinning arrow symbol stays on the screen longer while determining eligibility, which I suspect these titles are eligible. Finally, an Error message comes up, "Sorry, Disc to Digital experienced a technical issue. Please try again later." That's where I'm at. Now going to bed.

Terribly disappointed about the discount for 10+ discs going away. $5 is kind of a lot to convert movies I don't care so much for. With how poor the D2D PC app was, even $2.50 per conversion is steep IMO, we ought to be reimbursed for being beta testers and giving good feedback like this. So far the cell phone app is not impressing.

Another thing along the way, I despise the limit of 8 devices on a VUDU account, we have at least 10 here in our home that would run VUDU if I could. Maybe the workaround is to share the account with my wife's email address and use her email address login on several of the devices, I'll try that soon.

Also, I have 13 movies scanned in the VUDUToGo app on PC, I had been saving the cue until I hit 10 movies to get the discount. Now I'm sure I don't want them all for full price, but it doesn't seem to matter because the VUDUToGo app won't let me see my list or checkout to buy them anyway. That's new, the app today for the first time won't let me checkout with my selections, even though it seems to have let me add new discs through my DVD drive.
