Why do some unrated movies transfer over as the rated version?

I just added "The Town", "Your Highness", and "Horrible Bosses, but it's the rated versions, not the unrated that is on the bluray. Is this just something that some Vudu films do and there's nothing that can be done about it, sort of like how Marvel/Disney movies do not work on Disc to Digital? Thank you.

It's up to the studio that releases each title. Some allow you to redeem unrated/extended versions, while others only allow you to redeem the rated versions, no matter what version you buy on disc. There's some threads and another site that helps list what redeems what versions. Some can redeem for both as well - Suicide Squad and Batman vs Superman are two examples.

That's strange, I converted my Blu-Ray of the Unrated "Your Highness" and I received the Unrated version. Not sure why you did not
