    Xbox One Layout

Ok, let's be honest, the Xbox One Vudu layout is horrific. A single row of movies when browsing through the movies you own (or any others)? No way to rearrange them by date or title? This is terrible. Takes several minutes to scroll through all the movies if you have a lot. The PS4, my computer, my 5 yr old Sony Blu-Ray player all have a grid layout that makes it easy to browse movies. Plus the voice commands work lousy. I have to say "Next Page" twice to have it go to the next page when I start browsing. Please, Vudu, revamp your layout, it's awful.

I second this. The Xbox One layout is awful. The mere fact that you can't even sort is embarassing.

I hope someone from Vudu confirms this, but it was my understanding that the manufacturer of the device creates the app based on Vudu's API. That's why Vudu has told us to contact, say, Sony or Samsung for an update if the app doesn't work.

I have a hard time believing this is the case considering the difference in layouts between the different apps - Vudu, to Hulu, to Amazon, to Youtube (and I know Youtube makes their own and has screwed up the Kinect). As far as I know, and I could be wrong, MS provides guidelines and the content companies design around those. However, even if MS does code the app I'd be shocked if Vudu didn't have some input into the design. But maybe who writes it differs from app to app - which, if MS made it, would explain why the Vudu app is so terrible compared to MS's own video app which is much nicer (MS doesn't want Vudu to appear as a better alternative to their closed system).

By the way, if you go online on your computer and sort your movies differently that sort order will appear on the Xbox One Vudu app.

Any way you look it it - who makes the app - it is a horrible app. I have Revolution Season 1 and what a pain with the episodes. You can't even see all the episodes on the 1st screen and you can't see if you have watched that episode yet. It is a shame as I would rather use the app on the Xbox One than the Roku or smart TV. I guess I am going back to using the Roku app.

Yes, not having the ability to at least sort titles in different ways makes navigating movies a real pain. By the way, you can sort in several ways on Xbox 360 so I have no idea why you cannot on Xbox One.

Funny that there was just an update to the Xbox One VUDU app, but I didn't see any difference! The most advanced gaming system has the most backwards app. My 2 year old Panasonic blu-ray player has a better interface for Vudu. Hulu Plus does not have this issue.

Fully agreed that it is effectively unusable for browsing ones collection. Had a family over the other day and showed them the app when talking about UV and they offered immediate comment asking me to switch it to show a few rows of movies and asking where the filter functions were... After grousing I had to explain to them it wasn't a UV limitation, just a Vudu app design issue.

I feel the same as everyone else here; it's terrible, and it needs to be completely redone and match the VUDU.com website's navigation. Whoever is responsible, please make this happen!

Yes, this app is in need of an update and a fix. I can hardly stream movies successfully. Let alone just trying to find the right one.

                    It is really frustrating...

It isreally sad I have to shelve my 500 dollar all in one media behemoth for a 35 dollar device that had an interface that actually allows me to enjoy my tv.

No joke. It's like they released the app once and then called it good not addressing any technical issues that are absolutely obvious and inexcuseable.

I have so many movies on VUDU now and both XB360 and XB One perform TERRIBLE.

I also wish the Xbox One Vudu app would get an update. I am highly disappointed and baffled by the layout and lack of sorting options.

I feel exactly the same way. Netflix and Hulu have abandoned the standard Xbox look and feel. I think Vudu should too. I have a Roku too and I love the interface on there. They should just port that interface to the Xbox One.

I agree. The Xbox One interface for Vudu is frustratingly awful. The Xbox 360 one isn't a whole lot better, but at least I can rearrange title alphabetically and so on.

The interface on Roku, Playstation, and EVERY OTHER DEVICE is very very well done. Easy to access and, ultimately, that's we need in a service like this.

Netflix abandoned the "Xbox layout"... Please Vudu, do the same... PLEASE!
