How long until the limited beta for sony 4k 2017 android tv models ends? Will there be an official app after the limited beta?

I even had to give up on an HDX title! Never had these problems when I used the Sony X700.
Sounds like you are Wireless, try Hard Wired and should be 50+Mbps.

This ^ ?..time to delete the other older vudu app once a steady, reliable, non buffering and sharp/punchy official version gets released...

Also whats taking so long with the DV profile 5 version of The Hangover and Gladiator ? Thanks.

I'm having an issue watching Vudu via Bluetooth audio.

I have a 900f. Vudu plays fine normally through my stereo, but I'm up at odd hours, so I'll connect a headset to the TV via Bluetooth and watch that way. Works fine with Google Play, Netflix, and Prime, but Vudu just stays paused on any frame I try start from. Frames show when fast forwarding, but black screen and no play otherwise. Doesn't matter if I try in UHD, HDX, or STD. Works fine if I cast movies from my phone instead.
            Thoughts?

Hi all, this may be a newbie question: This is a limited time beta, but I'm wondering if there is any chance that I will lose access to watching UHD on my TV? Without
the beta version I cannot watch UHD on my Sony X900E. I'm expanding my UHD library on Vudu, but I'm hoping to find some reassurance that I will continue to be able to stream UHD content to my TV. Thanks.

I?ve been wondering the same thing. If I purchase a movie in 4K HDR, will I lose that movie in 4K once the beta is over?

I think that you'll be okay, the whole idea about the beta was to give us Sony owners 4K HDR now, albeit in beta, before the official release.

I hope you're right. So far, so good.

On Mi Box Oreo, the UHD quality will only show a black screen. Audio is fine. I have tested with Pacific Rim Uprising.

it doesn?t look like vudu is responding to this thread. i am a sony 4k hdtv owner and i have a 2015 model. the fact that i am a good vudu customer and have to purchase a third party device in order to take full advantage of my vudu account is WRONG. i also have a PS4 plus that can?t take advantage of UHD or 4k. funny that both devices are sony. i don?t know about the inner workings of these companies or their contracts, i am a consumer. all i know is it?s a huge disappointment that only select devices are compatible with VUDU software. and another aspect that?s wrong is VUDU?s silence on whether or not they?re doing anything about it. they?re going to let me use a 3rd party work around and that?s acceptable to them. good luck with that, Vudu.

I have a Sony XBR75X940D. It is a 2016 model that supports HDR10 but not Dolby Vision. I have seen 3 or 4 other owners of this TV asking how this beta cannot be installed and as far as I can tell without an answer.

I have a lot of Vudu movies and was disappointed when I purchased Avengers Infinity War direct from Vudu (which Vudu said they would stream I HDR10 and DV) and I cannot watch it in UHD 4K. The beta (not sure if this is really still a beta?) says it should work on 2016 Sony TV's.

Can someone repond specific to the 2016 Sony XBR 2016 "D series" displays and this app so we can get 4k HDR10 UHD support?

I actually like that it is a separate app. My current Sony firmware builtin Vudu app works great for everything but UHD. It is great Vudu reaches out on this thread. Looking forward to specifics as to if it will work on our displays and HOW to install it.

                          Thanks,
                          BJBBJB

Great to have this app for my Sony XBR75x900E. I rented a movie, and got 4K HDR10, and my Z9F sound bar showed that I was getting Dolby Atmos DD+ using ARC connection.
Picture and sound received was fantastic! It was the first time I got Dolby Atmos. So now I also know my sound bar works. Hope to see more selection of UHD with Atmos movies for rent.
                            .
I would like to see an App for the Fire TV Cube also.
It was a disappointment that the built in Sony Vudu app did not have 4K or Atmos available. So finding out about this new app was wonderful. Thank you VUDU!

BJBBJB - Does your 940D have the most current firmware update and is your HDMI set to Enhance? And with respects to the beta VUDU Android app, have you tried installing it from the Google Play Store?

                                Fabian,
As I have seen multiple ways tried and not work for installing on my model on this thread I was reaching out to see if there was a way that was confirmed to work with the XBR75X940D.

I am familiar with the hdmi enhanced setting and use it for my 4k disc player but it does not apply to built in apps as they are not using an hdmi input.

it would be great if one of the Vudu employees who have been great to participate here could jump in with an answer.

                                Thanks,
                                BJBBJB
