    Converting Account

    I just got this email..
    "Since Vudu is no longer part of Walmart, Instawatch movies will no longer be available after July 25, 2022. If you have purchases to redeem, please do so this week. Starting next week, you can convert your Walmart login and set up a new Vudu credentialed password to continue accessing your library, watch free movies and TV, and purchase rentals or TV shows."

    But when I try to reset my password, I never get the reset email. Any ideas ? Is this a scam email ?

    I think it's legit. I really hope the process isn't a major headache, but I really wish I had just made my VUDU account a primarily stand-alone thing instead of using Wal-Mart account as my basis when I started it up years ago.

      Yes, this is legit. Walmart login option and InstaWatch will be discontinued very soon.

        How are you actually supposed to convert your account? The email came with absolutely no instructions and there is nothing I can find on the Vudu site.

          Same thing here. No email has been sent to convert my account. I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that both my Walmart email and Vudu email are the same address? It says "Check Your Email You will receive an email to verify your account. If you do not receive it in your inbox, please check your spam or junk folders."

          Update: They sent an email with a link to convert my account and when I tried several times it says "There was an error converting your account. Please try again."

          Update again: YAY it's all converted! Thank you very much! I hope everyone else can log in now.

            I was able to get my account converted last night. They finally updated the website with the “convert account“ option.

              I still can't convert to Vudu login. I am not receiving the confirmation email. HELP!!!!!!

                  Please check your spam/junk email folder. Also add email@email.vudu.com as a trusted email whitelist to ensure delivery of our emails.

                    I have checked spam folders and even gone into the exchange settings to see if there were any quarantined messages and there is noting from Vudu. I can get emails from the support team but nothing for password resets, receipts, marketing etc.

                      I have had a headache with the conversion. Most of my movies converted but there are several still missing. I have a hunch as to why. Over a year ago I switched from Cox Communications to a different ISP and as a result had to stop using my cox.net email. I was signed into Vudu with that email. Even though I changed my Walmart login to my Gmail address I never signed out of the TV app. I think as a result some of my purchases are associated with the old email but since I can't access that email anymore I can't do the conversion process for that email. I've contacted Vudu about this and the few responses I've gotten from their offshore help just gives me canned responses to try the process again or to simply logout and back in again. This is a tier 2 tech support issue but I have no clue how to contact them.

                        I am getting that same error message. How were you able to get it converted?

                          It's been a year now but I could only convert when using a secondary email. I kept getting that error but nothing could be done, not even by Fandango or Vudu.

                            Hello lujan; thank you. What do you mean by 'using a secondary email'? It looks like my only option is that it is asking for my Walmart.com email. I give them that, then they send me an email with a link to verify my email where I create a new password, but then it always fails.

                              I have two emails for Vudu (primary & secondary). I had to use my secondary Vudu account for the transfer to work. You may get it to work by using another email for Vudu. The only problem with this is that you'll end up with two sets of movies and TV shows. One on the original Vudu email and the second set on the email you used to do the transfer. It was the only way to get it to work for me so I still have the two sets of movies. I believe that if you call Vudu, you may be able to consolidate the two emails (or two emails into one) but I haven't done that and have now gotten used to the two sets.
