    Thanks,
You could put them into your BD390 vs. the router. That way nothing else on your network would be effected. You can set a static IP address, gatway address, and also the DNS on the network settings page on the BD390.

Re: HD buffering on Fios with 20Mbps d/l???

I had the same problem only the movie played fine 1/2 way through then just went to buffering even if I tried low def .Why are the answers comming in PM's -don't that defeat the purpose of a forum?if a question is asked why not post the answer so we don't have to ask over and over and over???? I am having serious doubts about this service-I never get a response from emails to tech support and the forums have no answers posted -just pm's as people ask -I don't like to spend money on this type of service...........

I have the same issue (buffering on HDX movies)
I have a LG BD550 and a 25 Mb FIOS connection, using various speed tests I can confirm that I am getting 25 Mb / sec downstream.
I have updated the firmware to the latest version; if anyone has further information that they can point me to, or PM to me, I'd appreciate it.

Same issue but with time warner road runner 15Mbps d/l. HDX and HD buffer a number of times per movie. Latest firmware and wired connection to router. Speed tests are always good. I have not been able to watch a single movie without several instances of buffering. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: HD buffering on Fios with 20Mbps d/l???

                I just joined vudu.

I have FIOS 30/30, wired connection and tried to watch HDX movie -- buffering 3 times. I had to watch in HD.

I'm not sure why everything is Private Messages? Shouldn't we be sharing the information here?

Please respond with what tweaks I need to make so that I can enjoy HDX.

                Thanks
                Kuty

                  Kutyshalev,

The first thing i would try is to place your device in DMZ. I have seen this help with FIOS users, especially ones that are using the actiontek mi424 router. If you need any help doing this, please contact our support at (888)554-VUDU.

                    I have a Dlink DIR-655.

What do you suggest for such a device?

What is plugged into the WAN port of this device?

The direct ethernet jack from FIOS.

This device is doing the PPOE connection to Fios.

The DIR-655 is the cousin of the DGL4500 which is what I have. You might need to manually change the DNS servers in the VUDU device. This is what I did which solved similar issues with my LG BD390. I currently have a FiOS 35/35 connection and can stream HDX content to multiple VUDU devices concurrently with no issues.

I followed all the instructions including updating the DNS and putting it in the DMZ.

The next movie I watched did stop for buffering 3 times, twice for just a few seconds and once for what felt like 30 seconds - but we were able to get through the entire movie.

We'll see what the next movie brings.
