    - Clearing watchlist would be nice, but what I dislike more is that watchlist is now the default when you go to my vudu. I can understand the reasoning but it would be nice if the user had the option of which screen was default. My preference is to go into my movies or my tv series to pick what to watch.

Not really related to the new interface:

    - It would be nice if there was someway to reset all movies to 'watch hdx.' Right now I either have to ff past the credits so it says watch again, or rewind to the beginning. I know I currently have lots of movies that will resume at random locations instead of the beginning (and oddly, none of them show up in the watchlist).

    - Still no way to reset a tv series to remove the checkmarks. Permanent checkmarks would be fine for a 1 time watch via rental, but when you own a tv season there should be a way to reset it for future viewings.

    - As has been mentioned for years, please remove the option to purchase a tv season when you already own all the episodes in a season. The Buy Season button is pretty much right there when you go to watch something. I set parental controls to block purchases, but it's an unnecessary workaround.

I'm all for tweaking the look of the app, and can adjust to the changes (I preferred the old look however), but it would be great to see some of the issues I mentioned above addressed.

    Thank you!
Couldn't have said it better myself, I agree 110% with all of your comments!

Those checkmarks do need to have an option to remove, we need a way to mark everything in a season as "unwatched" as if it was just purchased so we can view again all from the start. That is a very simple feature that NEEDS to be added. Don't see how anyone could argue against it.

Once a show is purchased there should no longer be any options to buy it, I agree with you there too, this makes no sense, it's not like it's physical media and you can order a second copy!

Play from beginning button needs to be added so people don't have to resume and then rewind or fast forward to get to the beginning or end for the "watch hdx" button to appear again. I really can't believe this is still an issue after a new interface update...

I also prefer the look of the older app, don't like the overwhelming blue tone to the new one and the now up and down row of tv shows, I preffered left to right. And it should start with first season going to last not last to first.

I don't like watchlist being default either, "My movies" or "My TV" shows should be first. "My Vudu" should actually come up first, not a page of stuff you don't own.

And of course clear watchlist is essential. Right now with the forced auto play you can't see your credits finish out without the last ten seconds being covered, sometimes it will cut off the end of the video so it won't even finish completely. And if you do let it finish it starts the next episode and puts it in the watchlist even though you haven't watched it.

Vudu still clearly has much work to do, I hope further updates addressing all of these issues will start to roll out with the beginning of the new year. Because if none of these things get addressed and it's six months down the line or more then we know there are going to be a lot of unhappy customers.

Also well said! I agree with everything above.

      - A play from beginning button in addition to the resume play button would work well.

      - I did not even mention the new tv season layout as i didn't really know where to begin, but you captured my basic thoughts regarding the layout of seasons.

Hopefully some or all of the suggestions mentioned in thread can be implemented, sooner rather than later

So far so good on the Roku stick. Had a bit of lag on the Sony BD player so have moved to the Roku stick as my primary Vudu device. I really like the new interface. Also digging the resume play section as well, feels cosy now.

PS: Some TV episodes played out of order that were redeemed via flixster.

On the new UI checkmarks on TV Series or episodes are not to indicate they were watched but rather you OWN the Season or Episode in question. Previous UI the checkmarks did indicate episode was watched.

The blue time bar is what is used to show whether and episode was played or not in the new UI. If you complete the episode the available options change from Resume to Watch Again.

I'm having a bit of trouble with my vudu on PS3. I go to horror movies and it only shows a selection of 76 movies. It's about the same amount with all other genres. I've cleared all the settings so it should be showing all movies from every year, MPAA rating and any studio. Help??

Re: Feedback about New Vudu Interface

Regardless of whether it is a checkmark, or a blue indication bar the point is once a show is marked as fully or partially watched there needs to be a way to clear or reset it so that is is once again marked as completely unwatched as if never clicked on. Then the button would say "watch" not "watch again" because it was never marked as watched. This is a feature that you get on other streaming sites like Amazon and Netflix, they will allow you to clear your viewing history which in turn resets all TV episodes that were watched as new. Vudu needs to do the same and it needs to get done soon.

If Amazon and Netflix jumped off a bridge, should Vudu? I've never understood that rationale for insisting on a feature.

My bad, I was tired when I posted. Regarding watched episodes, please replace 'reset the checkmarks' with 'reset the blue bar' in my comments

Re: Feedback about New Vudu Interface

I enjoy using the New Trailers feature in VUDU to see what new movies are being released in the near future. While the New tab (with the New Trailers feature) is still available on the website, for some reason it appears that the new interface that is available through my Sony BluRay player has dropped the New Trailers feature.

A call to VUDU support confirms that New Trailers did not get ported over to the new interface. My experience is that companies usually go to the time and expense of redesigning interfaces to bring additional functionality, not less.

You can still find trailers under "new trailers" in the collections tab, not ideal, but at least it is still there

Re: Feedback about New Vudu Interface

So how long are we going to have to keep waiting for a disable option for this god awful auto play for tv shows? I'm so sick of seeing that 10 second countdown over my credits. And if that wasn't bad enough having to see that at the end of each show, I also noticed that when going to TV episodes and playing the "trailer" it also pops up this stupid annoying auto play clock. Why the hell is it doing this for trailers? So basically you have a 20 or 30 second preview and half of it is covered by a countdown clock.

Do the people that work for Vudu who design these updates even test this stuff out before it is released? I want this stupid clock gone forever! Whoever thought this was a good idea to introduce wasn't very intelligent, and the person that made the decision to approve it was even more uninteligent! Good way to add a major annoyance to an otherwise really great service. Vudu is getting ruined because of this bad feature. Give us the shut off option on this as soon as possible please!

Furthermore, if I did want to use the auto play, I still WOULD NOT want to see the countdown clock, I'd just want it to smoothly play the next episode without anything popping over the credits. Maybe Vudu should just add a small configure options menu just for auto play to resolve this once and for all. I have no problem witnh auto play being here as long as those of us that don't want it can turn it off.

Re: Feedback about New Vudu Interface

Yes, that countdown clock is AWFUL! Not only does it block the screen, it also cuts off the last second or so- and it does it during the preview trailers for shows if you also have one or more episodes, and those get cut off mid-sentence! I don't know why so many people want to ruin things for those of us who actually want to watch stuff in its ENTIRETY (again, I purposely did not buy the more-advanced Roku unit because Netflix breaks into the end credits of most of its movies on that, and I'll cancel Netflix outright if I ever see that happen on my screen!)

If most Vudu users tolerate this, expect to see even more intrusions later- just look at the unwatchable mess that network TV has now become, with many cable channels being even worse! (No, I do not have cable or satellite and likely never will!)

Your comments have been clearly noted already (in this very thread less than 2 weeks ago), agreed it's a good idea, and likely to be added.

Further insults are not productive and may eventually get you banned from the forums.

And this particular feature is one of the most popular in the new UI. Your objections are a TINY minority, but it's still something we want to accommodate. Aka please chill

Re: Feedback about New Vudu Interface

I apologize if I was insulting, you have to forgive me for ranting a bit but the level of frustration I am feeling because of this forced auto play with no shut off option has taken it's toll over the past few weeks. I know I have talked about this before, but I don't believe any one should stop complaining about anything if they are not a satisfied customer. Just remember me and others "purchased" seasons of TV shows and we don't want them covered by a clock!

I think it's great that a majority of the people like auto play, that's great for them. Even though I am very unhappy with it (understatement!) I still wouldn't advocate it's removal, simply the option to make it stop!

To the person that made the netflix comment I am right there with you! I also will not buy a Roku 3 because of netflix's forced auto play that shrinks the credits down. I prefer using all older Roku models so my videos will play out and finish normally without being interrupted.

I'm becoming very worried that very soon streaming services are going to look just like cable channels where the credits are always interrupted, and then next logos will be pasted all over the screen along with ratings and ads for other shows and movies. If that happens I would turn away from streaming entirely and go back only to discs, I very much enjoy watching a show in it's entirety and that is all I am asking for from Vudu, let me continue to do that like I could before the update.

Thanks for looking into adding the feature to stop this auto play, I do appreciate that. I just want to remind Vudu that no matter how "tiny" a minority is against a new feature added that this is a pay per view service ultimately not a subscription one. Features that block, cover, or shrink videos (even if it's just the credits) aren't fair to force on to the customer who "owns" the video.

Again I'd like to say the auto play would be great without the clock, so please make an option separate for the countdown if possible, I might consider using it once in a while if my credits aren't covered!

But even for those who want and like the auto play, Vudu has to admit it made a major gaff making the countdown clock appear over trailers, how in the heck did that happen?? You can't tell me anyone finds that a good thing!
