Not at this time - I'm keeping my BlackBerry viewing in the ReplayTV domain. I really prefer to watch my Vudu content on the big projection screen. If I decide to do this, a second Slingbox will probably be needed (and I'll have to tackle either getting an IR receiver, or attempt doing the IP control hokey-pokey on the XL).

P.S. I'm contemplating a class action lawsuit against RIM and all BB phone cell service carriers - the box my BB came in did not include any warnings about causing sleep deprivation! There should be a bold lettered bright label on the outside that makes those warnings about whatever the state of California finds look like fine print.

You never sleep anyhow, Brain! And they don't come with bright orange warnings about doing it while driving or walking down the street either!

Hate is such a strong word to label a person with.

Don't worry Ron, it' just another symptom of the Apple Reality Distortion Field. There's a component of the Field called the "Apple Doctrine" which divides all people into 2 groups based on the belief that if you don't love Apple, you must hate Apple. It is outside the philosophy of the ARDF for you to be able to feel any other way.

Come on, Ed and Ron. You guys will NEVER buy anything Apple. You've both made that clear and you never have anything good to say about them. I dislike Microsoft but I do own their stock and several of their products. Don't tell me I'm blinded by the RDF. I've been spending a large part of the last week writing VBScript for some customized Outlook forms we have. I don't think either of you would try to enhance an Apple product let alone ever use one...

I was able to get to the rental screen, log in, and choose a quality to rent and box to send it to. The only thing that appeared differently was no "now being watched" thing...which, now that I try it in Firefox, doesn't seem to currently be working anyway.

                So it's just you, Justin.

I don't know for how long this Nexflix Mobile has existed, but it appears that it even shows movie previews. There is a Mobile Netflix site, but I don't know what it looks like as I don't have a Netflix account. Maybe Vudu can start with a generic mobile site so users of "any" mobile phone with a browser can get access to the movie catalog, start the downloading process of HDX content remotely and add to the Wish List.

For the record, I have purchased an Apple computer. When the G3's hit the market in the mid-90's I purchased one. Finally, a "real" computer vs. the mono-puters. This was something I could integrate into our computer lab training system product line. Much to my disappointment, Apple has pretty much swung back to all-in-one devices again, which makes it pretty much impossible for a hardware developer to enhance their finished product. I'd still like to partner up with somebody that could write a simple GUI application for the Mac that would support some very basic RS232 command control functions (for my church market media ministry distribution system). Do any of you guys have programming skils on the Mac platform?

The Apple Co. just doesn't make it very welcoming for the entrepreneur to develop products to work on a Mac. As far as I can tell, the Apple company has decided to take a "Not Invented Here" stance for any outside innovation. I'm willing, they just are not interested.

                    Way Off Topic now, sorry.

for the record mac is actually very awsome. unfortunately thier price point blows. its what 1300 for a basic laptop?
Just a side note: With bootcamp apples will run vista better than most PCs

of course this doesnt really apply to the people who build thier own pc.

I would buy a mac if i had that kind of money but id rather spend 1000 on a tricked out desktop

The basic 2 GHz MacBook sells for $999: http://store.apple.com/us/browse/hom...ok?mco=MTE3MzM

It's a better laptop than most Windows ones out there that sell for less.

You know, the more I use it, the more glaring its shortcomings become. There's no metadata and no way to bring up the poster full-screen. Either one would probably jog my memory of whether I wanted to see a particular movie or not better than the current setup.

And I'm still finding it tedious to go back to the list then tap on the next movie, rather than just flick to the next one from the details screen. I want to flip through all of the New to Rent or HDX movies, and the way the app is currently set up, it's still more of a pain than it should be.

The iPhone app is very nice but it is missing "My Wish List". Just to explain, I review the catalog and What New, and Coming Soon, and add them to my Wish List. It would sure be great to download that list so I could make my choices from there.

I'd have to agree. And by coincidence I came across this same idea on Sunday as I was waiting on my car at the car wash. I was browsing through the library trying to find something to watch after dinner. It would've been very helpful to have my wishlist available for that process...
