I knew I wasn't going crazy. It went back to 1.1.2 (rev 18595) for me also. I just checked after leaving it idle all day to try and finish the update. After reading this I went and checked and that's what mine is also. 8:00 PM here in Hawaii.

And yea I started a movie it froze and told me I had to wait (which is odd since I never wait for a movie to DL) then the VUDU updating screen came up ect.

Just like any other software / hardware solution...mostly minor bug fixes.

              Re: Latest Database Version

Mine is still in the midst of it's initial download/update. (I think). It says: current SW 1.1.2(rev18657), pending SW--blank, the DB is 14:1353. My ID is 0x3121 It's been about 36 hours since I hooked it up.
Question; does the constantly flashing light on the back of the unit indicate that it's downloading? I hope that doesn't flash all the time, it'd be distracting during a movie.

                Try turning it around.

Seriously, that's the network transfer light, which will be active almost all the time downloading updates slowly in the background and distributing movie fragments to other VUDU boxes. Seriously, you may want to try duct tape if you really find it that distracting. You can also place it inside a cabinet, as long as it receives adequate ventilation, as the RF antenna does not require line-of-sight.

The flashing light means there is network activity - could be uploading or downloading.

If it bothers you, take a small piece of black tape and put over the flashing LED on the network port...

Funny guy!! But that still won't work, because it will reflect off the fully mirrored walls that surround my home theater

By the way, what's the range of times that it takes for the initial down load? Can it really go as long as 3 days? I've got a cable modem, the vudu ethernet is hard wired, I haven't used it much and I'm going on about 40 hrs now. I can be patient (sort of), I just wanted to make sure that I'm within an expected range and that nothing is wrong. thanks

                      Re: Latest Database Version

Well, your box is definitely communicating with the servers, or you wouldn't have the pending software 1.1.2. I'd bet you will be practically there this tonight, running current SW and with access to most, if not all of the movies. Check the DB version when you get home tonight and let us know what you are showing.

Just checking in. It's around 9:30pm so that's about 50hrs and I'm still at SW 1.1.2 and DB 14:1353, and no Bourne HD's. Maybe I'll rent a movie tonight and that will "kick start" it. I'm sure it'll come eventually.

NO, downloading a movie will DELAY the DB. It WILL NOT download the DB update while downloading or watching a movie, or while doing ANYTHING with the remote. If you don't see anything by tomorrow morning, you might want to call VUDU tech support, though.

Well, still no change. Guess I'll be calling Vudu when they open up this afternoon(my time).........
By the way, last night I thought about renting a movie, but when I tried, it said "movie will be available in a few hours". In fact all movies told me that. Guess my box is messed up.

Have your Client ID handy when you call. It does sound like a problem with your system or perhaps your network connection. Sorry you are having so much trouble getting started.
