Yes, I had to turn it off. My dell 15z laptop with i7 3.2GHz couldn't even play SD smoothly. After I disabled that I could play even HDX just fine.

Based on my quick Google, SpeedStep is an Intel CPU thing:

Great! We all can learn something new everyday. Thanks for spending time and getting the issue resolved.

We will document this resolution in our FAQ for VUDU To Go.

    Any thoughts?
You can see com.vudu.air.Downloader if you go to Start/Run and type exact "%APPDATA%" this will launch explorer at your %APPDATA%. (or if you open a DOS/cmd window and type "cd %APPDATA%")

I can only suspect that you have some kind of permission issue and the installation just be partial but I can't see the system to know.

One way to check for permission setup problem is to create a brand new windows account so it can have default setup and try to install VUDU To Go onto that windows account.

Re: Vudu To Go Download Problem

Following your instructions, I uninstalled Adobe Air and VUDU To Go. I was unable to find com.vudu.air.Downloader in %APPDATA% and the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe Air folder was removed as part of the uninstall of Adobe Air.

After rebooting selected "Watch Movies" then the "My VUDU" tab where I saw the "My Movies" tab with all of my movies. I clicked on one of my movies and selected the "SD Download" tab which brought up the "Install VUDU To Go and Download Movie" window.

Upon clicking the "Install VUDU To Go and Download Movie" window another "Adobe Air Installer" window popped up. I selected "Yes" to proceed with the installation. The next window indicated Adobe Air was being installed. This took about a minute to complete.

A subsequent pop-up window asked if I wanted to install "VUDU To Go" to which I clicked "Install" then "Continue" and then "I Agree". After installation VUDU To Go automatically initiated with another Adobe Air License Agreement to which I again clicked on "I Agree". After this, nothing else happens.

I can click on the desktop "VUDUToGo" link where I get another opportunity to click the Adobe Air License Agreement "I Agree" button to which, again, nothing else happens.

Any other thoughts? Maybe how I can get the Adobe Air License Agreement to stop asking me to accept???

    Thanks.

I don't have issue w/ VUDU To Go on my Dell XPS 15z Windows 8.

Can you please try the following steps?
    - uninstall Adobe Air, VUDU To Go
    - delete %APPDATA%\com.vudu.air.Downloader
    - delete "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe AIR"
    - reboot (to really remove files, releasing file handles)
    - Using Firefox or IE and go to http://www.vudu.com, login, go to My Movies and hit Download to initiate the VUDU To Go Installation.

I can only suspect the installation corruption that one has to resolve it by manually cleaning like that.

Please let me know if it helps,

    Thanks,
    LLN
