It's not the only one. Nightmare on Elm Street 3 and Young Guns 2 are also SD on Vudu but HD on CN.

asumovieman, as long as the movie has a UV logo on CN and Vudu, then yes it should.
Thanks, sbuberl....so apparently the movies that I tried are on that list, yet it wouldn't let me do D2D.

CinemaNow is so ****ed up. I hope there's a real home-based D2D service soon. I'd be happy to give them my money, if they'd let me.

When you add these movies on the d2d on Cinemanow do they show up in your vudu account?

I added "The Lincoln Laywer" to my account on just a hunch, and it worked great! It isn't on the list, but it's in my UV account now =D

Yes, but the studios provide "rental" discs at a much lower cost, pennies on the dollar (at cost), to rental companies compared to the standard wholesale cost for a retail release. They do this in exchange for a percentage of each rental. They don't want those cheap discs to be sold to consumers since they don't make any money on them.

On the other hand, RedBox has been known to purchase retail releases for their machines.

There is always a possibility. However, the studios can get smarter and might include a different disc id or rental code for rental discs. In fact they could probably already detect the rental only discs that are used by Neflix, Blockbuster, and RedBox. However, for certain titles the rental companies have the exact same disc as the retail release.

This doesn't stop people from sharing the disc between friends and family but it would stop the rent, D2D, return.

Dusk till Dawn is not on the CinemaNow_Disc_To_Digital_Titles_121912.pdf that I have.

Stamp is easily removed. I've removed dozens of them after Walmart stamped my disc. This D2D-Home conversion will not be able to stop multiple redemptions. The more a single disc is used still puts money and profits in CinemaNow's pockets. IMO, they are not concerned.

Well I was able to convert my DVDs of "Cinderella Man" and "The Pianist" successfully along with "Inglorious Basterds" (had to use the DVD for that one too since Blu-Ray isn't supported yet), but for some reason I can't convert my DVD of Casablanca (the one that comes in the Blu-Ray box set).

I can't wait till they get Blu-Ray compatibility for this. Vudu had better do the same if they want to keep our business.
