Did anybody have any luck with SIN CITY? I own two different DVD releases and neither one of the discs worked with CinemaNow's program.

Legends of the Fall (UPC 043396787278) links to the wrong movie. It links to one of those multi pack movies (Legends of the Fall/River Runs Through It/The Devil's Own) when it is a standalone disc. It won't work because of the wrong link.

In my experience, Vudu's customer care is quite exemplary. In the few times I required their assistance, they helped me in a very timely manner. I have always been treated with the utmost of respect by Vudu. Thank you, Vudu!!!

Originally posted by tfisher View PostI value your opinion. What I was referring to was the customer service side of things. I have entered cases with Vudu that never seem to go anywhere, I have chatted with CinemaNow and called them with questions and these type of people just are not customer service people. They really don't seem to care one way or another. I called both Best Buy and Walmart today and wow, what a difference. They were willing to listen and really answer my questions.
That is what I was talking about. But as for at home D2D, I too am looking forward to it. But I think we will still need Walmart to handle some movies. For example, CinemaNow's program cannot handle double and triple feature DVDs correctly. I have Jeremiah Johnson that is on the list with CinemaNow and when I put the disc in it shows the correct movie but it says that it's ineligible. I don't know if their list is wrong or the program isn't working. And, there may be other things (things that for some reason I am not suppose to say ) that you cannot put into your DVD drive that you will have to take to Walmart.
Tfisher,
I reviewed all your cases submitted this morning. Outside of one case (which should be resolved shortly), I would disagree with your support cases not going anywhere.
Please feel free to submit you feature requests like you have in the past. We're happy to review them. However, this does not guarantee that a request you make will be implemented.

Re: CinemaNow and Rovi launch beta at home D2D service
I didn't see it mentioned here, but yesterday I upgraded my DVD of THE RIGHT STUFF to HD via CinemaNow and wound up receiving only the SD version in my Ultraviolet account -- despite the title being available in HD both on CinemaNow and VUDU.
I contacted CinemaNow support to request the HD upgrade and instead they simply refunded my $5, which was not the resolution I was looking for. It's also not the first time they've done this to me, having done an HD D2D on GHOST STORY only to find out it's available in SD only.
I guess the good news is that even after they refund the money, the title remains in your UV account as SD, but I'd rather them keep the money and give me the HD version I'm paying for.

I talked to three people total (2 at CinemaNow and 1 at Best Buy) and they all said that they don't know if Best Buy will offer a D2D program like Walmart.
One thing is for sure, dealing with the retail side of these companies is much less painful.

Currently I have 6 tickets open with them since mid December on a multitude of issues surrounding CinemaNow, including D2D conversion. Have heard nothing except that the issues have been escalated to management, HAH!! Fed up, hope they make a go of it, but not with my dollar.
