Michael it sounds as if you're trying to link multiple vudu users to one UV account. I think i recall Vudu saying you can at most have 2 vudu users connected to one UV account but during some account setup of my own i dont think that is even true. I say this because by accident i linked my sister to my UV account and then my vudu account became empty and unlinked to my UV account.

    So do you have one master UV account with 5 sub accounts and linking each sub account to an individual Vudu account? If so there is a linking problem with Vudu and UV when you link/unlink that will give you one of two errors;
    1. Two many nodes
    2. Connection maximum established

During a phone call with Vudu, i was told that there was a new link implementation with UV that only allows a certain number of linkages in a time period which is why the mods here say to not unlink your account.

If you got one of the errors above then you should search the forum for a post by me and another user explaining how to get around it. It may even be in this thread (i didnt read all the pages).

I have a 5 member UV group and each have their own Vudu account and i have not once experienced or heard of anyone from my group not being able to use the Vudu account linked to their individual UV account that is a part of the master UV group. FYI, my group has been streaming since October.

So not sure if this is a Ultraviolet restriction or Vudu restriction, but I gave up. I had 5 on my account, so 2 had to suffer and get bumped from being linked. I haven't tested this with CinemaNow to see if it stops at 3, but may be a good test.

That's what I thought, but according to DanielH:

So I guess the real question is, what do the other 3 do?

Three Users can share their library, 5 can access the shared library

Re: UltraViolet Vudu Account Limit - 3

How can Ultraviolet enforce a limit without declaring it in their TOS? I will contact Ultraviolet for clarification, but since they don't have any human beings working over there I doubt much will come of it.

Personally, I am going to stop spending any more money on this service until there is a clear and documented policy regarding exactly how I can use my account.

It has never been as clear as this that they can just pull the rug out from under whenever they want.

    From the Ultraviolet TOS:

    Streaming UltraViolet Content

Your UltraViolet Account is authorized to receive a total of three streams of UltraViolet content simultaneously. The UltraViolet content that is available for streaming and the devices to which it may be streamed will vary depending on which authorized streaming services you elect to use in connection with your UltraViolet Account. Depending on the type of streaming service you and the other Members of your UltraViolet Account elect to connect to, such streaming service may be available for use by all Members of your UltraViolet Account and without the need to separately log into your UltraViolet Account, or the streaming service may only be available to a particular Member after that Member logs in to his or her UltraViolet Account. Each streaming service supports its own devices so you will need to check with your streaming service provider to determine the devices to which you are authorized to stream UltraViolet content. In connection with your use of streaming services you may be required to comply with additional terms and conditions of such third party service.

Maybe all those that are dealing with this should begin to email them about this problem of lowering it and not telling us and try and get it back up to where it was when we signed up originally?

And I'm fine with getting the 6 back. That's all I need since I only have my main UV account and my 5 sub family member accounts.

It's such a pain in the butt to have to re link during the middle of a movie
First reply from UV they just sent me a standard form type of response as if I was doing it wrong. Gave instructions on how to link. Replied back re-advising that wasn't the issue, and they sent it to tech support but then I gave up since didn't get response and didn't want to wait for days. I just had to bump a few people off from the link portion of my account so that I could get relinked as the primary owner of the account. Just frustrating when new technology like this that you want to succeed starts to get squashed with unnecessary rules. I was always skeptical of going digital and never did, but then embraced the concept with how originally Vudu & UV were where you supposedly could have 6 members and it seemed like a great way to go digital and buy only digital in future. With rules constantly changing now, I'm not moving forward with buying digital only. Not able to trust it. I still like Vudu's setup, but will be less likely to buy only a digital copy without buying the physical media first.

Simple solution ... allow us to have more devices enabled! Doesn't have to be like Netflix and give us 50, let us connect 1/2 that many I will be happy I travel a lot and have a lot of devices like many people here and 5 devices is weak!

I would be interesting in knowing the change in account limit after the fact. Especially after investing a lot of money into the service and wanted to buy more titles through Vudu, but then have a restriction put in place without knowing about the change, until reading it here in the forums. This started happening to me about a week ago and originally thought it was a UV problem and been trying to go through their support.
