I think the movies that were upgraded on Flixster were movies that were obtained by redeeming an ultraviolet code that came from a Bluray. The code redeemed in SD instead of HD.

If you are talking about the free-bees flixster gives, those you would have to buy the media and D2D into HDX if you want the HD version in your UV locker.
    ok gotcha, thanks

Re: Early adopters IN LUCK with UV! Flixster upgraded SD movies to HDX!

I had given up on getting my Contraband upgraded to HD. Universal and Flixster said no through support emails plus I lost the code sheet. I was on live chat with a Flixster rep for a different matter and he asked me if there was anything else he could help with. Since I had redeemed through Flixster I gave the rep the date I redeemed from UVVU and asked if I was out of luck or if he could help on that one. He upgraded it on the spot. If anyone redeemed any of these codes through Flixster try live chat. I've had 3 movies fixed and Shameless season 1. All upgraded to HD within a few minutes.

Re: Early adopters IN LUCK with UV! Flixster upgraded SD movies to HDX!

Just thought I'd let everyone know that Paramount finally got back to me saying they added Super 8 HD to my UV account. Just checked my VUDU account and it now lists both the SD & HDX! That's another one I can check off the list of needing upgraded.

Has anyone had any luck getting movies upgraded from Anchor Bay, Lionsgate or Weinstein? I have "Abduction" from Lionsgate, "Scream 4" from Weinstein and "Let Me In" from Anchor Bay I'd like to get upgraded if possible. I tried looking for Lionsgate customer service email but it looks like they only deal with the digital copies and not UV. They direct all UV redemptions to VUDU so do I have to check with them to see if they can upgrade my Lionsgate copies?

I got this email reply on Tuesday April 30th about Super 8. The email is way confusing and it still is not HDX:

    Hello,

The film has been switched. SD comes with DVD purchase and HD should come with Blu-rays. In combos you have to check the sticker to see which version it comes with.

    Thank you,

At first they told me that they couldn't do anything with Super 8 because I didn't redeem it through the Paramount website so they didn't have any way to upgrade the UV copy to HDX. I told them that was fine and I'd take it up with Flixster. After a few days the person emailed me back again and said that if I wanted them to they would just add the HDX copy to my account but I'd have to have VUDU or Flixster remove the SD copy if I wanted it deleted. But it didn't sound like they were requiring me to do so if I choose not to. This was 2 days ago and as of yet I haven't heard from them about it but when I do I'll let everyone know.

Received another response this morning and they forgot to push the update. I just checked and i now have two listings in my UVVU.com account. One with only SD rights and a second with both SD and HD rights.

So, I wrote them back once again to state that I had purchased the Blu-ray version but only received SD rights and asked to be given HD rights considering I purchased a BD. Received this response back from WB:

I checked my UVVU account and i still only have SD rights so I wrote them back stating my account still shows i only have SD rights.

I wrote them back and restated why I contacted them in the first place and got this response this morning.

We verified the redemption code of the movie that you provided and its SD disc type. That is why you have SD rights for your title and not HD rights.
So, I wrote them back once again to state that I had purchased the Blu-ray version but only received SD rights and asked to be given HD rights considering I purchased a BD. Received this response back from WB:

We apologize for the technical difficulties you are experiencing. The issue you reported has been resolved. The HD right has been added for this title in your account.
I checked my UVVU account and i still only have SD rights so I wrote them back stating my account still shows i only have SD rights.

I sent them a response asking them to actually read my support ticket that had nothing to do with the response they gave. They got back to me and said they gave me hd rights to Falling Skies season 1, but they were having trouble issuing me hd rights for shameless season 1 and are looking into the problem.
