    See going to be more.

I've got another batch to do and there are several more that are mapping to DVD/SD.

Just get it all ready. When you're done, send the case and wait for the response. If they say no or don't respond quick enough for you it's easy to edit the quality in the cart WITHOUT having to put the disc in or anything. Quick and simple.

    Good luck.

Yeah for me this is just one title (out of 200+ I've converted) and life's too short for me to strategize and wring my hands over a $1.50 glitch. Thanks very much for the feedback though. I certainly appreciate it.

All that said, it sure would be nice if VUDU did have a way for us to (after the fact) pay the delta between SD and HDX copies, in order to upgrade from SD... if the HDX becomes available later, for example. As opposed to having to pay full price for it.

I do not blame them for taking this stand, I just wanted to warn others that a conversion may not be automatic.
Ahh, that's good to know. This 50% off promo has been kind to me. Sure there have been some unidentified no-go's, but all things considered I've got 209 movies in my VUDU library and 21 more in the checkout queue, and I'm happy with the process it took to get here.

VUDU gave me credit for titles I converted during the beta (which they didn't have to do.)

So I think I will just pay the extra $1.50 to get the HDX copy at checkout, even though it should only be $1 since it is a Blu Ray and not a DVD, and be done with it. I'd rather just pay the extra and not have to bother with complaint emails, or worse, having to pay a higher price later on to get the HDX copy I wanted in the first place.

State that you did D2D with the app, you uses a BD, it recognized as BD, but added as SD, take a photo of the SD and attached to the case. Ask them nicely to change the title from SD to HDX as it should have been and thank them in advance.

This has been mentioned several times. I've done it personally a half dozen time and Vudu has always fixed it in a day or two with no issues.

You used a BD, it recognized and logged as BD, you paid for BD. It's not as issue.

If you select HDX and then ask for a refund it's more complicated for them to do, especially with multiple titles. Just do SD and ask them do update it to HDX.
Thank you very much for that writeup and explanation, jeremymc7.

I was just going to forget about it and pay the additional $1.50... but instead I will do as you suggest and have them upgrade my copy from SD to HDX (after I finally check out, probably next week, right before the promo ends on 8/31.)

    I appreciate it!

I know people have reported Night Watch (Nochnoi Dozor) before, but I hadn't seen this mentioned: I have the disc with the UPC 024543237488, one double-sided disc inside. VuduToGo tells me "This disc 'Night Watch - DVD - 2005' is not eligible for Disc to Digital conversion.", but Night Watch (2006) is listed as being available for D2D. I submitted it as "Not my disc", because as far as I know there was only one "Night Watch" movie.

I was able to convert 13 of the 14 movies (DVDs) in the Alfred Hitchcock Masterpiece Collection. For Psycho, however, I get the message:

    Multiple matching movies detected
Select the movie you would like to convert

Unfortunately, none of the movies listed is Psycho. They are the 14 movies included in the collection, minus Psycho, with The Man Who Knew Too Much listed twice.

From memory, I do seem to recall that the title of the movie it matched was Robin Hood (Most Wanted), which it does appear is an old Disney movie. However, I believe the cover art shown (and possibly the year as well) matches The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938), which is Warner Bros.
Ok, had to be sure. You never know when you may stumble onto something before it's announced

Yup, that's what I'm seeing now too. Maybe I'm mistaken and it never showed any cover art or else something's changed since last time I checked on this disc (which was awhile ago).
