Besides the very unlikely Disney/Touchstone the only thing left would be independent studios but they'd have to join UV first. Studios like Magnolia or First Look. Is United Artists considered separate from MGM?

The Orphanage is now available in HDX. It was previously SD-only. I just converted my Bluray to HDX.

Monday Night Mayhem is on Fattie's D2D list but is not currently available for conversion.

CinemaNow doesn't use Gracenote for their database, they use Rovi.

A long time ago it was reported that MGM was going to join D2D but nothing ever came of it.

Well, for the first time that I've ever seen, they finally updated the poster image scroll on the conversion page. That's something, at least.

What still doesn't gel in my noodle is the whole "only movies that were in the system when the software first came out can be scanned at home" schtick. That makes absolutely no sense. I've tested the software, and it definitely has to "phone home" to a database for a disc to be recognized. I know it says that it uses GraceNote, but I question the validity of that for one reason. Both Flixter and CinemaNow D2D programs, which also utilize GraceNote, always recognize discs that aren't recognized by Vudu, implying it's still a Vudu database merely using some limited form of the GN software (and failing miserably, I must say).

It's also worth noting that you have to be signed-in for the conversions to be retained by the software for subsequent purchase (if you're scanning incrementally to achieve 10+ conversions and earn the half-price discount). Learned that the hard way, when I fired-up the software (early-on when I was doing the initial mass-conversion of my collection) and lost 7 or 8 titles that I'd already shelved and gotten mixed-up, so couldn't remember which ones they were. Now, every time I scan something in, I always hit the "checkout" button, so that it forces a sign-in and records any pending conversions. Done that way, everything will still be listed next time you open the software.

Anyway, yeah, it just doesn't make sense that discs can't actually be added beyond a title listing. There's gotta be somebody that Vudu pays to manually add more disc profiles to the database periodically, not just adding the titles to a list for in-store conversions. And yet, the latter would seem to be the case if indeed newer additions to the D2D list can't be recognized by the software. The profiles must simply not exist in the db.

I wish that somebody in-the-know from Vudu could pop-in and address the issue.

The releases have slowed down over the last (couple) years, but they will continue to add titles sporadically. But the last update I've seen was from the middle of August.
