In-store D2D will access your VUDU ToGo shopping cart

I wanted everyone to be aware that if you are adding movies to your VUDU ToGo shopping cart and building a list of movies to print and take to Walmart (those DVDs that VUDU ToGo will not verify or Blu-Rays because your don't have a Blu-ray drive on your PC) you could have a problem if you do not checkout and finalize your VUDU ToGo purchase before you go into Walmart.

I wasn't finished with my VUDU To Go order last night, but today I was going to Walmart and decided to get the in-store D2D done. Instead of selecting ONLY the movies I had on my in-store list, she did everything! I was very angry because I wasn't going to get my 50% discount. She was able to cancel everything and start over, but I had to come home and redo all my movies in VUDU To Go.

...just something to be aware of...I wasn't aware that Walmart would see my list in VUDU ToGo... but it would be cool if VUDU ToGo could see the In-store D2D list.

The only problem I see with that is you could "add" titles you don't have to the Walmart list and then pay for them thru the in home D2D. They have no way to verify that you have those movies. Other then that, it would be nice because then I could actually add the movies that aren't recognized correctly and not have to go to Walmart.

You let her delete your VUDU2Go cart? Oops!

I ran into the same issue, but took the opposite approach. The lady at my Wal-Mart told me that there was about $700 worth of stuff "already in my cart" when I brought my "in-store conversion" list to her and said it wouldn't let her JUST do the short list. It would let her "add to cart" or delete the cart and just do the smaller order, but the smaller order can't bypass the existing cart. I told her that the larger cart was probably my several months of VUDU2Go recognitions, so DON'T (for the sweet love of God!) delete it! Just "add to cart." So she did, and when I got home all those titles she added were in my VUDU2Go cart.

So, yeah, the "shared cart" is really annoying, which is why I created this thread asking they somehow "separate" the VUDU2Go from the Wal-Mart in-store cart(s)...

      https://forum.vudu.com/showthread.ph...VUDU-2-Go-cart

So, in the future, the best option is probably just to have them "add to cart" and then leave it at that. When you get home the titles they added should then appear in VUDU2Go and you can buy the whole "big list" whenever you get around to it...

At least I'm pretty sure that's how it works, currently, until they fix the "shared cart" issue, which is pretty irritating (I had the same thought of doing a smaller order with some high-priority titles, but ran into the same roadblock)...

Correct...which is why I said that would be cool...very cheap movies!

Does anyone know if this still works? I have a DVD with 5 movies that isn't identified by the software.

No this did not work. I have converted 197 movies to digital using the Vudu2Go app and there are 48 blu-ray movies that are either not recognized, recognized incorrectly or say "not eligible" even though they are eligible using the in-store D2D as follows:

Not Eligible (even though it is available via in-store D2D):

            Hard Rain

            Not Recognized:

            16 Blocks
            Aliens
            Alien 3
            Alien: Resurrection
A Nightmare on Elm Street 2
A Nightmare on Elm Street 5
A Nightmare on Elm Street 6
            Die Hard
            Die Hard 2
            The Final Destination
            Grease
            Hostage
            Hostel
            Hostel Part 2
I Know What you did Last Summer
Journey to the Center of the Earth
            Jumper
            Lethal Weapon (all 4)
            Men In Black
            Mimic 2
            Mission: Impossible 2
            Ocean's Twelve
            Predator 2
            Star Trek (1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 9, 10)
            Superman 2 & 3
            Superman Returns
            Taken
The Bourne Supremacy and Ultimatum (2 & 3)
            The Karate Kid Part 2
            The Matrix Revolutions
            The Mummy Returns
The X Files I Want to Believe
Tomb Raider The Cradle of Life
            Trapped
            Twilight Saga: New Moon
            Underworld Rise of the Lycans

I went to the local Walmart to ask them to add these to my cart and they said that they did. I then went home and it was not on my Vudu2Go cart. I spent an hour with Vudu on the phone and they said they couldn't do anything for me because the Vudu and Walmart systems are different even though they're the same company.

It seems like for the most part, it is the 2nd one in the series that it doesn't recognize. I have put in a support ticket and will PM a moderator if they would like to know what it is? Also, I mentioned to Robert (the customer service rep) that there have been cases where forum posters are saying that after months, some movies have still not been corrected. He said that they only started this a week ago and I said that the private beta has been going on for months.

I never understood the inconsistencies. Are you using Blu-rays or DVDs? The Hard Rain Blu-ray worked for me on 3/31/2013.

Another peculiar thing I noticed is that the original Predator Blu-ray release came up as not eligible for D2D but the Predator: Ultimate Hunter Edition Blu-ray worked fine. Not sure why one wouldn't qualify but the other would.

All of the ones I'm trying to convert are blu-rays.

I think Loc said that to fix the deleted cart issue in the last release they separated the carts for in-store and at-home D2D.

Earlier releases won't run, they force you to update to the new version.

Oh yeah, I remember now.. that's too bad. Why didn't they work out a contingency plan as customers like us are SOL because the Vudu2Go application doesn't recognize a lot of movies and you are forced to go to the store to do the D2D at twice the promotional price. Did they do this on purpose?

You need to use this link for in store D2D.

I saw mentioned that someone thought this has been fixed and that the carts are now seperate, is there any confirmation of that. My searches have not found a definitive answer.
