Re: In-Home D2D Bugs - Movie not recognized / Mapping Issues

Today have had NUMEROUS issues with blu ray discs not being recognized, having trouble reading, etc., including:

    Maze Runner
    Django Unchained
    Grand Budapest Hotel
    A Most Wanted Man
    Predestination
    Wild
    Wild Card
    Jack Ryan
    Jessabelle
    John Wick (AHHH!!!)
    You're Next
How to Train Your Dragon 2
    Hunger Games Catching Fire

And there may have been more... Is there some sort of block on these NEWER titles that don't allow them to be converted, even though most if not all of these titles show up on the list for eligible titles????

I hesitate going to Walmart with these due to the nightmare experiences of others AND the inability to get them for $1! I would appreciate some sort of response or explanation please!

A lot of eligible discs say that now. Not sure why but it seems more and more discs end up with that message as time passes.

I will say I did a D2D conversion of that title through Vudu's D2D software a while back. I have no idea why it would just stop working though.

That's no good if you don't have the original versions and only have the box set ones.

Casablanca 70th Anniversary (different UPC than reporter) 883929243723
Vudu to Go app just tells me there is a problem reading the disc.
This is listed as one of the movies available for home conversion to digital. Front cover matches the one shown when you search for the movie, too.

    Thanks for reporting this.

I dont mind goning to Walmart but i would like not to pay 2$ instat of 1$ if using Vudu2Go
I was just experiencing an issue with Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer blu-ray. I was getting a Disc not readable error or something like that. Since I was worried if possibly there was a physical issue with the disc, I tried just playing the movie on my PC.

My PowerDVD9 software complained that it needed an update in order to play the disc. So, I downloaded the free update and the disc was able to play on PowerDVD9.

Lo and behold, though, I had not closed Vudu to Go and when I switched back to the software, Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer was recognized. It seems that if your PC can't play the disc, then Vudu 2 Go will not work. Perhaps they piggyback on the disc decryption of other drivers?

Anyway, I thought I'd pass along the tip in case others wanted to try it.
