Re: Disc to Digital Mobile: Only your smartphone required! 👍

Anyone have any tips on getting this to work? My phone and my tablet both have pretty bad cameras. I've only ever got 1 upc to scan, and of course it gave me the wrong movie for it. There is no way to focus or adjust the view? It's just point it at the upc and hope it gets lucky?

I get the same thing. I've tried about 25 movies, and they all get a technical error or the UPC is not recognized.

For those of you having an issue with location, are you using a power saving mode, which might keep location accuracy set to low? My Android phone has three location settings, High accuracy, Battery saving, and Device only (although it sounds like the Battery Saving is the lowest accuracy you can have while still leaving location services on). This occurred to me reading about ncbradbury being able to get the app to approve the location while being outside the house. I know that my home IP is sometimes considered a few miles away by some geolocation services.

I found that my address is actually in the field in front of my house probably about 30 yards away from the house itself. So when it comes to D2D conversion I'm outstanding in my field.

Like I said before. Living on a large parcel of land really screws you over unless your house happens to be at the random location that gets picked for the property location point. I wonder what my neighbors think about me wandering out into the field with a box of dvds and then holding them up to my phone.

This whole thing is a real annoyance. Not only is it complicating my D to D that have been a problem in years past; it's also eliminated my ability to purchase weekly disc + digital. I've got a stack of money here and Vudu doesn't seem to want to take it. So right now it's all going to Amazon. Considering I buy several movies each week that's a lot of money Vudu is walking away from; especially when you consider all the others having issues.

I found that with my address I had to edit my address to remove the apartment number. With anything but just the street number & name the address was considered incorrect.

I am not happy with the 100 movie limit per year. I have been having greater success with this program that the one on my computer. What is this limit for? You all can make a lot more money if there is no limit. I have reached my limit in about 4 days. I bought out a video store and had a big collection of movie to start with.

I'm trying to scan The Martian Extended and Avatar Extended. Everytime it says that I own these titles. I don't. I own the theatrical version and want the extended edition.

If I am correct I believe that d2d only gives the theatrical versions of most if not all movies. It also doesn't give any of the extras that you get by using a code or buying the digital version.

I added the Dodgeball Unrated Blu-Ray which is what D2D added to my account. Vudu has both rated and unrated version.

Doesn't appear to be a hard and fast rule.

Finally the scan UPC worked for me. I use an LG Nexus 5X Android phone.

The problem was my billing address since there was a slight variation between what I've always used versus what Google Maps shows which I assume is what VUDU uses to check GPS location.

The difference was a simple space in the address. I live in a rural area where addresses are listed with compass directions.

Example: W123 S4567 Anywhere Street. Google Map shows it as W123S4567 Anywhere Street.

Once I changed the address in my PayPal account to remove the space in the address the UPC scan worked!

Take a look at your billing address versus Google Maps if you are getting the error message:

                          Address Undetermined.
Sorry your address was not determined correctly.
                          Please try again later.

Thanks to the previous poster in this thread who mentioned checking your address.

Why are some Blu-ray UPC symbols coming up like they're DVDs. When I scan The Bourne Identity and Bourne Supremacy, they come up $2 for SD and $5 for HDX. The Bourne Ultimatum scans fine. But the same thing is happening for others like The Golden Compass, a couple Harry Potter's and some more.

I also want to scan some titles like the Martian extended edition, Avatar extended, the town extended and more, but they keep saying movie is in my library but that's not true. The original theatrical Edition is in my library not the extended.

Not mapped correctly. Submit ticket and hope it gets fixed.

Set them aside and try them again every so often since you likely won't get notified if it gets fixed.

In in the meantime move on to other titles. There?s a cap on the number you can do anyway so just do what you can until you run out.
