The Fandango at Home Forums are designed to help viewers get the most out of their Fandango at Home experience. Here, Fandango at Home customers may post information, questions, ideas, etc. on the subject of Fandango at Home and Fandango at Home -related issues (home theater, entertainment, etc).     It turned out to be not as simple as I thought. A JP1 guru needs to create a new 'protocol executor' which I believe is the title of an upcoming Steven Segal movie

    Nobody has yet stepped up to the plate on this. If you get the JP1 stuff completed for Vudu we'll dedicate a sticky to your efforts!

    I apologize. I've been out of the loop for a while. Now that I see the IR dongles are for sale, I'm trying to determine the status of JP1 support.

    I've searched for 'vudu' in the jp1 files and forums sections with no luck. I think I can take the hex code from earlier in this thread and post it to the JP1 forums, but I just want to be sure that no one else has already done a conversion.

    My 15-2117 is ready to be the only remote in the living room again.

    I have it under the front left edge as well. The smart card is on the right side.

    Thanks! I see where that works. But I ended up putting it on the front left since there are no vent openings. The right side and along the front has the vent openings but I didn't see any on the left side. Although I guess it would really make much of a difference since the dongle is small.

    Since mine is a prototype and shrink wrapped, it doesn't have a flat mounting surface. I have it located underneath the front edge of the box. I bet if you do that, you won't need to take it. There's enough clearance to slip it under but not so much that the dongle will move around a lot.

    Well I noticed my IR receiver fell off the sticky tape. I guess I ned to get some more. I have it located on the top front left corner of the VUDU box.
