    Hi AJF,

Which part doesn't work? The support for the VUDU remoote codes has been in Hamony's software for a few month now (you can find it under digital setop boxes).

If you found the VUDU box in the Harmony software and it doesn't work, then it's most likely because of the connection from the IR receiver to the VUDU box. Please make sure the connector is all the way in. ...the connector on the box is a little bit on the tight side.

    Hagen.

I can't seem to get my Harmony to work with the Vudu. What Model# do you use in the Harmony remote software for the Vudu?

I'm trying to set up my Harmony remote but the Vudu does not respond (I do have the dongle).

What VUDU model# do you input in the Harmony remote software?

Negative. The Vudu dongle has some special circuitry in it to work with the box. Plugging in other dongles could permanently damage the I/O port on the Vudu. I don't know if there's DC bias on it or what but you don't want to use anything but the Vudu dongle...

Glad you got it working and having fun!

    Re: IR support

The dongle rocks! I use it w/ my Harmony One. Very responsive and fast, and the codes were almost immediately in the Logitech dbase. I wonder if a standard IR remote dongle w/ 1/8" connector would have worked also...

I was missing the Vudu remote, because it so well designed and ergonomic, but it inspired an idea. My master br suite shares a wall with the living room where the Vudu box is...So I drilled through the wall, got an HDMI splitter, and split the Vudu signal to between the two rooms (no problem @ 1080p even). The original Vudu remote works great through the wall, and the Harmony One stays in the LR.

Obvious idea, but it took the purchase of the IR dongle and the Vudu remote staring at me, lonely and forelorn. Now I'm rocking 2x the Vudu for the money!

If you walked 6 feet to the first VUDU box, unplugged the dongle, then plugged the dongle into the second box, I believe that would solve the problem for any multiple number of boxes. PLUS, you wouldn't have to buy additional dongles either.

Problem Solved!!! AND I saved you some money!!

(The only downside is that you would have to travel 6 feet back to your original location. So I calculate the total round trip cost to be approx. 12 feet, plus or minus the distance to the second box. That's a tough haul when you're wearing an iron lung)
