I purchased BLUE VELVET today as part of a $4.99 sale and didn't realize the aspect ratio was wrong on Vudu. I have already submitted a support ticket asking for a refund and to have the title removed, but this is my favorite film of all time and it's completely unacceptable that a version of it available to purchase at retail is cropped.

Issues like this should be easy to fix... Compile a list of titles, call and/or eMail the studio, explain to them that they don't have the proper ratio and request a new encode?
Apparently it?s. It?s complex than that, or there?s a level of disinterest. What I find curious is how other providers DO get the correct masters (Almost everything is right on Amazon Video). I?m surprised that studios have multiple masters they send out; you?d think it?d be less effort to just have one.

Most of the movies that have Ratio problems are the correct ratio on the Movies Anywhere app.
This is a crime. Best Picture, Director, Actor, Editing, Set Design, AND Cinematography (for the 70mm Cinemascope!) and we can't watch it on Vudu, we have to go to one of their competitors to view this as it was intended. Please Vudu, you are getting buried by the market and you can't even fix things that have been broken for a decade. I don't want to see you go the way of Flixster, M-Go & CinemaNow.

These were already fixed. It took Vudu over 5 years, but they're OK now.

STALAG 17 is 16:9. Should be 4:3. Just bought it and it's unwatchable like this.

CALIFORNIA SPLIT (1974) starts off in its intended aspect ratio, 2.35 : 1 and then switches and stays at 1.85:1.

I would think they’ll just tell me to buzz off, especially given the age of the purchase.

    s Drive.
No, they will give you a refund.

They refunded me when I bought Frankenweenie (the original) and found it was in the wrong aspect ratio.

I'm curious to know if The Brides of Dracula original AR of 1.66:1 has been retained, or if it has been cropped to 2:1
