It happened to some Anchor Bay titles also. I converted both Sunshine Cleaning and City Island via Disk to Digital on June 29, and they still show up in my UVVU account. But on their Vudu pages, they no longer show the UV logo. And they're both still available for disc to digital.

Also I assume if you D2D these movies they will not be added to you UltraViolet account which is why this information should be made available by Vudu when you D2D any movies, for those of us that make purchasing decisions based on whether a movie is UltraViolet.

Both are showing UV for me.

    Django Unchained still shows UV.

Silver Linings Playbook is probably another mistake. They shouldn't be removing UV rights from titles in digital lockers if those rights were there when the movie was purchased. There are no time limits on UV rights from what I have read on the UV website.

When I saw this, I immediately logged into my account to see what was going on. I see that Silver Linings has lost the UV symbol on VUDU, so I went to my UVVU account. Not only is it still in there, but it's still in my Flixster account at last check as well (I redeemed the code on VUDU.) So I still have it in my UV account right now, and I have no way of knowing if it was ever removed at one point. I'm going to keep checking back on this one, but this is definitely an alarming trend of lost UV symbols lately.

Can you explain why it lost UV rights? I am assuming that this was an accident since we're suppose to have access to our movies in the cloud "forever" according to the UV website. Of course, this could have just been a Vudu issue...I really don't know what the impact is because I have the theatrical version that is still UV, but I am curious and wanting to learn a bit more about how UV rights are managed.

A little bit of positive news. The Hills Have Eyes (unrated) regained its UV status today along with the new Fox UV titles. No luck on Mary or the Harold and Kumar movies.

I paid for the 3 movies through the D2D service and now they are all gone from my UVVU.com account. They all still show on vudu but if vudu were to shut down I no longer have the UV rights to them which is what I thought the main advantage to the whole UV system was. Once I have the license on uvvu.com it is mine no matter what happens. Apprently not. Here are the titles.

Harold and Kumar go to White Castle
Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay
There's Something About Mary Extended Edition
This happened with the unrated version of Live Free die Hard. I remeber because it was the first movie I converted using D2D and I bought an upgrade to HDX for 9.99 during a sale (disc was beyond readable by that point) then two months later I went to watch it and noticed the uv symbol was gone. Vudu kindly switched it out for the theatrical one (lost all the fun scenes D: lol) and I still have the unrated as well because It grandfathered into my uvvu even if I can't watch it any other place but vudu. Interesting that this is happening. I thought this was a safe way to keep our movies watchable and shareable. (I do not live with my family so I use UV to share with my younger siblings) Sucks for them if all the titles lose their logo
