I know nothing about this, as I have not had a PC with a DVD slot since I had an old Plextor DVD drive around 2009.
    Thank you
Number of USB Blu-ray drives that work great and can be had for less than $100. We have a Samsung USB BR drive we use with laptops when we need to access a disc (and I have drives in my main PC).
There was a place to check ahead of time if a title is eligible to save you some time but that seems to have been removed and replaced with the "mobile disc to digital' advertisement page. General rule is if it is Disney owned (Disney, Lucasfilm, Pixar, Marvel, Touchstone etc) it is not eligible. Same applies to most (if not all) Weinstein and many MGM. But even if they are eligible, they may not be recognized and there is nothing you can do about it after April 1st (assuming the UPC reader doesn't also work).

Same here. It's either saying there was an error with disc to digital or that it's unable to process the request. And I've tried some titles that others have claimed are eligible. I've gotten the same errors on both my android phone and tablet.

I've got a few so far that are not recongized, one that gave a DVD reading from the BD and some that have worked fine.

How does one get the UPC to read as an unrated title? I tried Get Hard BD, didn't read, tried the DVD and it only offered the rated version, which I assume is because the DVD is rated, only the BD is unrated.

After April 1, 2017, we will no longer be offering In-store conversion. But you don't need it anyway now that you can convert In-app starting today! Converting via our app or Vudu To Go saves you time and a trip.

This is awesome Felipe! Any chance we can get to yearly limited upped from 100 to, say, 1000? I'd love to convert most of my titles but don't want to wait decades for that to happen.

I don't know how the 100 limit will effect me, if at all. I would have to buy 100 Blu-rays/DVDs from pawn shops or yard sales, which I don't see happening that quickly. Other than buying titles new, I would just use the InstaWatch or UV code, and free up the 100 limit for a year.

It's not just about new titles but converting an existing collection. I could easily purchase 100+ titles per year even if 50% have UV codes. However, I've been purchasing optical media for a long time so I have quite a collection of titles that have yet to be converted to digital.

If I use the map application and type in my address, I see my address pin, but it's about 25 feet away in someone else's yard. I'm not sure if I should take my discs over there and try to scan them or if it's just going to give me the same error?

I get the same thing. I've added a credit card with my address, I looked on google map and it is the correct location on there. Anyone else have any suggestions on what it could be?

Hello Felipe, I know you have worked hard for years on the forum here and I believe you will do what you can to help us & help this struggling app succeed.

Would you share who has compiled the current UPC database, is it in house VUDU work or outsourced?
Do they have a future mechanism planned for us to submit the growing number of un-recognized UPCs? and for someone to actually verify and add those?

PLEASE, PLEASE convey how much we want this to succeed but feel that UNTIL it gets on an equal footing with the success level of the In-Store process that they please not end the instore conversion option until this app's UPC database gets filled out & matures.
Some movies have 4,5,6,7 different releases with different UPCs (not including variations for Movie Money included UPCs)
Take X-Men (2) United as an example there are (7) stand alone versions listed on Blu-ray.com for just the U.S. releases of that movie alone. If the people building / in control of the UPC data base aren't getting each version of UPC this isn't going to work even close to as well as the in-store D2D option did. In-store a human person could say X-Men United Blu-ray --> X-Men United exclusive steelbook (blu-ray) CHECK(X) or any of the other 6 known varieties. The mobile app can only check against the data base it is provided it can't handle when the UPC hasn't been given to it, like a human can.

When Rex gets his thread going I will paste what I have tested so far at that point. I don't want to sound ALL negative. The inclusion of 2013 and newer titles is a very welcome improvement, but some of us have been waiting patiently for lots of the problems with the VudutoGo app to be addressed (many of them regarding the Gracenote library that have gone on for years and years with no fixes).
I still have a lot of hope that this app will grow the missing UPC titles and improve very rapidly while it's fresh and new and has the eyes of VUDU management upon it, but now is the time to speak our piece and help guide it to be an in store replacement (SOMEDAY). But lets wait until it's ready for that. These problems could have been addressed by beta testing this out to people with large collections to see if the UPC data base is ready. When the mobile app encounters a UPC it doesn't know, it doesn't offer any way to submit the missing UPC.

The loss of In-store conversions is a HUGE BLOW at this point. Things finally got so they were stream lined and working with the new FUJI system and I was really happy with it as were the initially reluctant Walmart Photo department employees.
I took the print out from my last in-store conversion list (15 titles) and tested the recognition via UPC detection.
Results 7 out of 9 Blu-rays were correctly detected - that's the good news
Results 4 out of 6 DVDs were NOT correctly detected - I tested them over and over again (in different lighting situations etc.)
I tried two versions each of Kung Fu Panda (1) BR+DVD combos & Kung Fu Panda (2) BR+DVD combos.
One set is from 2016, the other from 2015, both from Best Buy. The 2016 editions of 1 & 2 were detected, while both the 2015 version's of 1 & 2 were not.

I just finished a stack of movies I deemed not in a hurry to add to my library, but I had already tested and verified that they are correctly detected by the VUDUtoGo PC program (Gracenote) so I thought they would be an interesting test. I grabbed a small stack of those and out of the 10 titles I randomly grabbed (all DVD) I tested via the mobile app: Results 6 out of 10 did NOT correctly detect with the mobile app. Detection was 100% w/ the VUDUtoGo program that means I have an alternate path on those if I choose to convert them someday (but not on titles that are "eligible" but fail to be recognized by both the Vudutogo Program & the Mobile app. That is why the In-Store process was [IS] so important for now.

Not to happy right now. Tried the new service first on my iPad which for some reason says GPS not enabled when it is. Luckily my girlfriend has an Android phone so the app did work and load. So I tried scanning a bunch of movies and none of the UPC were recognized. Even the titles I've already loaded via disc to digital before wouldn't get a match using the UPC code. So after trying about 50 DVD's and 75 Blurays here's what I had. One movie had a UPC that actually loaded, Three movies were recognized as already owned in my collection the rest weren't recognized at all. Not a good start.

Edit: A VUDU CS rep was able to clear my cart. As I suspected it resolved the issue I was getting related to "Technical" erros when trying to scan a barcode.

If you are getting that specific error I would check your cart, both in VuduToGo and Mobile, most likely there i s somethig there causing the error.

I believe this error is related to the title already being in your cart. Or perhaps others problems with your cart. Since it sounds like you haven't added anything to your mobile cart, is the title in your VuduToGo cart?

I get the exact same message but it only occurs for titles that are in my VuduToGo cart. Other titles scan fine. The problem is my VuduToGo cart is non responsive, it gives an error when I try to edit, etc. and I need it cleared. I am sure this will fix my issue.
