Re: Error reading DVD disc.
I still get it with a handful of disc but have done over 100 others with no issue, mostly older two sides dvds and those dvds that are a DVD and also include a digital copy on the same disc. I updated the rapid support thing and tried it on 4 computers including a mac. These are the ones I can remember all are double sided dvd disc but Failure to Launch.
Phonebooth 024543080480
Failure to Launch 097363449140 (CinemaNow & Flixster reads this one, so not disc for sure)
The Freshman 043396702998
I ♥ Huckabees 024543169482 (CinemaNow & Flixster reads this one, so not disc for sure)
I've tried them several times since I have a pile of DVDs that I try every month or two since the program updated to see if fixed or updated titles.

I have an ASUS Desktop PC CM6870 Series running windows 8 x64. Let me know how I can help debug. I am also a software developer, of 20 years experience (most of that in storage and virtualization).
I looked at the specs and it seems to be Intel core based motherboard. Please install the current Intel Rapid Storage to see if it helps your issue.

Any suggestions other than drive to Walmart?
When did you add that 8 movies?
When did it start failing?
Did you update software/hardware ?
Please look for my posts in this thread for possible solution for disc read error. If you confirm none of the solution can help your case then we will work with you to understand your issue.

My system is a stock system with just some additional RAM and a graphics card installed. I made no changes to the BIOS beyond setting the boot order! You need to get your software to work with systems as they ship. You will NOT get 99% of users to go through what I just did to get his working. your lucky I work in IT, I'm stubborn, like troubleshooting, and want the discount offered!
My system info is:
OS Name Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate
Version 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 Build 7601
System Manufacturer Hewlett-Packard
System Model p6510y
System Type x64-based PC
Processor AMD Athlon(tm) II X4 630 Processor, 2800 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)
BIOS Version/Date American Megatrends Inc. 6.09, 9/7/2010
SMBIOS Version 2.6
