Note that I have the same exact problem with the movie: Midway.

It seems that this is some kind of error...I mean, how can I be able to use my PC to convert the film, but not use my PC to play it?

Also, I want to re-state my problem with the film: The Italian Job (1969). Vudu-to-Go forced me to convert it from DVD to HD (i.e. it said that SD was not available), but when I view the title in My Vudu, it says "PC SD Only". I thought that getting a film in HD implied being able to view it in SD.
I would say that's because the only way to convert a title through the D2D program is either via the PC/Mac software or in store (and not everyone has a WM near them so why limited that to in store only). In addition, titles can be streamed to a television through devices such as the Roku, PS3, blu-ray players, etc. Thus someone may be interested in converting a title through the D2D software but wants to view it on their TV; why prevent them from doing so just because that title can't be streamed/downloaded to a computer/tablet/phone?

If I recall correctly, the studios determine whether or not you can stream/download particular titles to a computer/tablet/phone.

^ This was the response i received from customer support last month:

Our apologies for the errors you've encountered using our In-Home Disc to Digital Beta. We're aware there are some movies that are still not being recognized. We're keeping track and fixing the issues as quickly as possible. Please visit our forums for updates and more information:

    https://forum.vudu.com/showthread.ph...O-DIGITAL-Bugs

At this time there is not an ETA since it's still BETA, but our engineers are working hard on correcting this.

I finally got a response to my Case I submitted on 6/16/13 as follows:

Since the in-home disc to digital is still in beta, our engineers of course are interested in feedback for improvements. At this point, the best way to provide that feedback is directly within the VUDU to Go app itself. From what i understand, if a disc fails to manually verify, there is a small button to generate a report of this error. Click it, and that report goes automatically to the folks in charge of the VUDU to Go app. That way, those issues will be addressed quicker than if I were to copy those movies into a spreadsheet for our engineering department.
As for lists, the in home disc to digital and the in store disc to digital lists are cataloged seperately on your VUDU account, which is probably partially responsible for why your in store list of titles, did not show up in your in home list.
    Best Regards,

    Rosemarie Grantham

This response didn't really add anything new to what we already know.

The list of movies that are not working for me are listed here:

    Can't Hardly Wait
I Know What You Did Last Summer
    Snatch
    The Lost Boys
    Transformers Revenge of the Fallen

I will report the specific movies but I want to wait until some of them are corrected because then I will have a reason to try all 48 of the movies on the VuduToGo app that are currently not working for one reason or another.

Guess these should be reported too. The following titles are on the D2D eligible list but only have a DVD option and no Blu-ray option although a Blu-ray release exists.

As Good As It Gets (1997)
    Battlestar Galactica (1978; The Movie)
    Christine (1983)
    Experiment in Terror (1962)
    Mysterious Island (1961)
    Nicholas and Alexandra (1971)
    Steel Magnolias (1989)
Superman IV: The Quest for Peace (1987)

    City of Ember (2008)
    Freedomland (2006)
    The Mexican (2001)

The only time I'm not given that option is when a title is mismapped to a title I already own. In that case there's no way to report that the title is incorrectly mapped as that option isn't provided to the user. I would like to see the "Not my disc." option that is present in other scenarios added in this instance.

You're welcome. I was just trying to help corroborate what Woodoo4Vudu was seeing. Does it help to get the problem fixed if more than one person reports the same problem through the software? Does it help for any one individual to report the problem more than once? Can you see who reported what titles?

I ask because, from a consumer's perspective, it's hard to see the rhyme or reason as to what titles get fixed first or whether than information is successfully reaches Vudu. I admit I've sometimes wondered if the information is being delivered.

For example, the original Predator Blu-ray release resulted in an "Unable to identify this disc." error message but the rerelease Predator Blu-ray was successfully identified by the software. I reported the error, through the software, for the original release and it appeared to be fixed within a week but other errors have persisted for 4-6 months.
