These are early days in the program... we'll get there, one day. In the meantime, I'm stocking up at 50% prices!
Also....just because something is D2D does not mean it's UV...for example: Taken Extended Edition
I'm also stocking up like mad.....

    FelipeF,

Thanks very much for addressing this.

If this gets resolved, and I can use Vudu to watch the film, is there someone I can contact to get this downgraded to SD and get a credit for the $1.50 additional I had to pay for HD? Especially since it looks like Vudu only provides the film in SD. It's no big deal either way....I can understand if that's a can of worms you don't want to open.

    Thanks

Yesterday I used Vudu-at-Home to get "The Italian Job" (1969, Michael Caine version) using a DVD (not Bluray). VTG informed me that it was only available in HD. I figured I'd go for the HD conversion, and got the film.

The film appears on the Ultraviolet site, and on Vudu, but is not available for play on Vudu. It only lets me play the trailer. I can view the film on another UV provider (in either HD or SD), but not on Vudu. (By the way, Vudu shows this as only being available for SD play on PC.)

I understand that all films may not be available from all providers, but given that Vudu sold me this (and only allowed the HD upgrade) I'd think that Vudu playback should not be a problem....

    Any help is appreciated.

I contacted support by phone, when I informed them it was processed through the VUDU To Go app they submitted the case to engineering. I didn't send any proof. I guess they may have verified what I see online the Blu-ray is listed as Director's Cut, they don't sell a theatrical only version on Blu-ray.

But, generally speaking, lujan's question raises a valid point. Just because something is UV that doesn't always mean it is necessarily D2D eligible.

    I usually go here: http://www.vudu.com/disc_to_digital.html
To check the database first. I save a bookmark on my smartphone so I can check a title when I'm at a garage sale, flea market, or bargain basement bin at a store.

And sometimes, it's also worth mentioning, that even if it's on that database, it doesn't actually work via D2D@Home.

These are early days in the program... we'll get there, one day. In the meantime, I'm stocking up at 50% prices!

Most of the titles on that list are both UV and D2D.

UV doesn't necessarily mean that it's D2D, right? So why is this posted on this thread?
